Unboxing & Review: Zelos Titanium Damascus (Timascus) Swordfish Diver
Ойын-сауық
Very happy to bring to you folks today a very, very special watch from Zelos. There are many special watches in the Zelos catalog over the years, but none are more sought after than the Titanium Damascus...aka Timascus....watches that Zelos puts out. Very uncommon, very unique design. Please enjoy this video and learn about something special in the watch world........
Note: I have more information on production numbers. There are 60 Timascus Swordfish in this run. 30 Black Sand dials and 30 Meteorite Dials. There are two versions of the cases: blue heat treat and yellow heat treat. So there are 15 watches of each combination out there. Just though you would like to know that.

Thank you sir. Glad you're here and enjoying the content.
Beautiful! It’s a looker! You made an excellent “case” for the Seiko movement. Where else are you going to get this design and metal for this price?
@saleendriver

Nobody else is doing this. And like I said....I personally am not a movement snob. I know a few folks who question the price with a Seiko movement. That's fine......its an opinion driven hobby and market. For me, this watch is perfect.
Hi Dane, where did you get the nice leather strap from and what’s the exact model name of it ? Great watch ! Thanks 🙏

It is a Colareb Siena series strap. You can find it on www.colareb.it

Hello! Do you know if the material of this watch: Timascus is as fragile to scratches as normal titanium or more resistant? Mokume Gane? Can you tell me about scratch resistance?
@saleendriver
2 ай бұрын
Its Grade 5 titanium and I've had no problems with scratching.

@@saleendriver But does it scratch easily or not?
@saleendriver

No, because its Grade 5 titanium it doesn't scratch easily. It will, but you will have to do hard impacts to it. I own many timascus Zelos watches, and they are all just fine. And I do wear them.

@@saleendriver Do you think they are more scratch resistant than bronze ones?
@saleendriver
2 ай бұрын
Honestly don't know. I would think bronze is a bit more likely to be scratched.
Wow that is something. I figured when the first timascus came out one of the three lucky individuals would be Mr. Zelos himself ;) well either way hope you do get the timascus hammerhead. Otherwise your collection will never be complete.... haha.

Ah....but no collection is ever complete. But I'll continue to chase any and all Timascus Zelos.
This is a hell of a watch, indeed. One detail : you're talking about the retail price around $500 but in fact this watch was sold at $1.500... and now, maybe we could better understand the debate about an NH35 Seiko inside... ;). Anyway, it's always a pleasure to look at your videos (never too much of Zelos in life !).

Did I actually say $500? Obviously a big mistake.......I knew and know better. But even at $500 a Seiko movement is fine with me, and I'm fine with using an HN35 on a $1500 watch as well.

@@saleendriver Really sorry, my mistake ! you actually said "fifteen hundred dollars" and I did ear wrong... Being French is not an excuse in life but in this case it is mine. Sorry again. ;)
