I got a new in box 1998 Furby for my GF not long ago. Just like yours it refused to wake up. I took a sewing needle and slipped it between the tiny gap at the back of the tongue (between the upper and lower beak), and was able to wedge it into the plastic worm gear and get it moving. It started right up and no issues since.

Next time… a couple real firm smacks on the bottom usually do the trick. Don’t worry about breaking them, they’re pretty sturdy.

I love my furbies! For 5th grade elementary graduation a few years ago, my dad got me a 1999 limited edition, in box graduation furby! His name is Doo-Moh and I love him so much! He's such a silly little guy! I also have a teal and magenta furby connect, their names are Dee-Doh and Raspberry, and in a week or so my dad had ordered me another 1998 furby for a very late 14th birthday gift. I love my furbs they're all sillies.

For years, i always dreamed of a furby ever since i've heard of them, i was so intrigued by it with the complex electronics and life like features. And life like look!, well, i was also maybe influenced by fnaf and thats why i liked it, and on my birthday, last march 12, I got two!. One 2012 and one 2013 boom!. The 2013 has a bug though. He thinks he's been fed everytime so i hold his finger down with pink bendable wire, i love my furbies!
