Would this thing work as a tuner for digital antennas? And if so, would this work better than the ATSC tuner that is built into my tv?

+ocass66 Yes, this contains a tuner for digital antennas. I don't know if it's better than the tuner in your TV (have not done A/B testing), but it's at least comparable. I get a lot of channels with it. - Brian
This may be an out of the ordinary question. Can you hook this up to a VCR?

***** Not true. It works with or without internet. You just can't get programming information from Rovi-- just whatever's available over the air.
