Here I am unboxing my new sewing machine - Bernette Sew & Go 8- a computerized machine from Bernette ( a Bernina Brand). The other machine I considered was Bernette B38 which was priced almost twice. It had excellent reviews.

I heard this machine gives electric shock. Is it true??

To be frank, I did feel a tiny bit once . But was not sure if it was static. But no other instances and I have used it everyday since I got it.

@@MsOmangbulo No, never. If it is persisting, I will be really concerned. I am on my third garment and it is fine as of now. Will update if I see it again. But I did read somewhere that there is an electric shock problem - amazon reviews

There is no hard cover available with this sewing machine. How do you cover it? If you have purchased cover for it, from where?

They provide a basic dust cover (non woven ) with it. I usually cover it with a cloth and have been planning to make a quilted cover for it.
Is it good to buy now. Brother machines are not available

1. Have heard of electric shocks in some reviews. Personally have experienced slight shocks 3-4 times. If you are not keen on all decorative stitches, check out bernette b35. It is a value for money machine... I didn't face any other issues and like this machine.
