I just ordered this model, super excited

I wasnt sure at first but now ive seen this video i know for sure im getting this model

After watching a few Diecast model videos I just bought my first two 1:72 models. One a Hobby Master F/A 18 Hornet and the other a Calibre Wings F14 Tomcat ‘Ghostriders’ VF 142. The Hobby Master is good. The Calibre Wings model is exceptional in detail. The cockpit detail is very good and a bit of a fiddle but got the pilot and radar officer in ok. The presentation of the box is nice with the limited edition card. Unfortunately mine didn’t come with a stand but I’m displaying it with gear down anyway. The downside which I am disappointed about is the weapons and some other interchangeable parts have a really poor fit. It’s really frustrating. Maybe just my version but one of the jet nozzles is completely loose and keeps falling off if I move it. I’d have rather had the nozzles fitted and non-interchangeable than having them interchangeable but loose. But worse is the weapons fittings. I’ve pretty much given up because they were either so badly fitted that I couldn’t attach them without fear of breaking something, or they are so loose they the fall out, meaning if you’ve attached a loose one and then try attaching anything else they fall off. It’s disappointing with such a highly detailed and solid plane that the interchangeable parts are weak. I have managed to get the plane set up as I want it and am pleased that it looks really nice but can’t really move it or things fall off. I don’t know much about Diecast models as these are my first but I’d say the Calibre Wings is a nicer model than Hobby Master (the one I have anyway) in detail but the weakness of the attachments has really put me off.

Yo.. brow i got mine just coming but unfortunately there are minor scratch beneath the wing… i believe it was the packing is not so neath as before

Disappointed. Will you release a version of the Greek air force that has the CFT? While this looks great, I live in Greece and see the f-16 mostly with the additional fuel tanks on top (CFT). I really don't understand why such a piece couldn't be added. Would have prefered optional CFT than a removable engine. I'm scared of buying this, in case later on you will release the version with the CFT.

Fascinating model guys! The competition goes with CFTs and I am really happy that you have chosen not to add them. Personally, I believe that the Viper looks much more musculous without them! Of course, we cannot wait for the CWs single seater...

Very beautiful model Noel, I have already one on its way to me, I couldn’t resist even if I am quite disappointed by CalW customer service as you do not reply my questions by email or in KZread comments…

@@CalibreWings well, I wrote you at sales@calibrewings.com on last Wednesday this question : is it possible to order a metal pitot tube for my first wave Su-24 as I do not like the look of the plastic one (it is bent) ? Got no reply yet.

@@SoManyInterests we will look into it, perhaps it got into the spam folder. A pitot tube is 5 USD before shipping. And as we don’t have a production going on it. We don’t immediately have a white one as the others we are making are not white. So we need to make one in white.

@@SoManyInterests we just received your email and no, we checked and we didn’t get your email before. Also because the FROM / sender is a new name not previously in our email client. So we didn’t receive your email before. We will likely only be able to process this after Chinese New Year, which is around 26th February.
