Unboxing, Installing and Testing the all new Arctic Liquid Freezer iii 420 aio

Ғылым және технология

I just picked up the recently launched Arctic Liquid Freezer iii 420 argb. Arctic is a top brand in cooling and time will tell if this is the best cooler of 2024. I will be testing this on my Ryzen 9 7900x which other aio's have struggled to keep the temps below 90.

Thanks for the post. I just built my first PC and followed your guide for installing the Arctic freezer. The build took me almost a full day, while I tried to figure out everything and followed various KZread videos. I still need to start it up and install the software, and then I'll see how I did. But thanks for your guide; it really helped.

Hey, thanks for the vid. I am going to install mine this weekend on my first PC build. Which of the two cables do you recommend installing. The "all-in-one" or the individual cables? Pros cons?

  • @jackshardware

This is going to come down to preference. The single cable will look better but the 3 to 1 cable will give you more flexibility in playing around with the fans to adjust sound level. Since this is your first pc build be careful installing the water block to the cpu. Ater you get the first side threaded to the mounting bracket you need to be careful getting the other side threaded. It takes a lot of pressure to push the leaf spring down for screw to connect with the bracket.

It seems to me that there is a problem with the installation or cooling or something else that must be investigated because in such sizes the temperature is low, in the range of 70 to 80 and the consumption is at 192 watts, the cooler is in control mode. A 420 cooler was tested at 13900k and it was drawing 260 watts and the temperature was 75. degree

@jackshardware I also found out that it could be difficult to mount the water block to the CPU. My workaround was this: 1. First mount the pump to the brackets (but do not tighten it yet) 2. Then mount the brackets with the block to the motherboard (tighten the four motherboard screws slowly and diagonally to the other screw). 3. Now tighten the two screws that mount the pump to the brackets This way, it's much easier to mount and minimizes to slip the screwdriver into the motherboard while trying to screw the pump to the bracket.

2:19 Can I unscrew those 2 tubes and reattach them? I’m thinking about passing them through my cable management slot on my Evo XL so the tube isn’t hanging. However I need a AIO that I can remove and reattach the tubes. Those here look like they are fastened with the white knobs.

I can't tell how easily the tube's come off. I wouldn't recommend trying to cable manage them. The tube's are stiff and any kind of bend in them will restrict water flow and also increase the risk of leakage.

hi, sorry if I bother you, I'm new to the field and I'm about to build a computer but I have a doubt, I'm about to get this AIO but I would like to replace the fans with 3 Lian Li UNI FAN SL V2 since I have 7 others. I know it is possible to connect the 3 fans via daisy chain to each other and then connect them to the lian licontroller. Once this is done, what cables should I connect to the AIO to be able to manage the pump and fans via L-Connect3? I ask because I don't even know if I can manage the AIO from L-Connect3 because it is not from lian li. Thanks for your help and I hope the message isn't too confusing.
