Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

After an extensive five-year search, the moment has finally arrived! Join me as I unveil my latest acquisitions: captive-bred emperor scorpions (Pandinus imperator)! In this video, you'll watch me unbox these incredible creatures, give them names, set up their new habitats, and feed them!
I'll also share why this project is so special to me and elaborate on the significance of supporting the captive breeding of this species. I hope you enjoy learning about these fascinating arachnids!

We are very fortunate to work with many species, P. imperator being one of the longest running, and our most recent is 4 new babies of L. williamsi 💙🦎. Keep up the great work Dayyan! 😁🥳

10 yrs ago, I purchased a huge female. She gave birth ,but started to eat her babies. I was able to save 2 babies. I find that although they have lived for 10 yrs, they never got really big for some reason. Anyways would love to be able to get cbb scorpions in the future.

Great video. QOTD: I'm not currently breeding but last year I bred Viper Geckos and produced 70 babies! 😳 . I have several reptile species and my most fond is my 22 yr old leopard Gecko Willy. He's been around for a long time and is definitely slowing down. I just hope we have more time together.

I'm really happy for the community who loves Scorpions that you'll be trying to breed them! 😊 My dearest animal is a cat, she's the oldest animal I have and probably I'll never have! She's 20 years old (21 this next fall), I have her since she's 2, right after a surgery for removing her left leg completely. So she's an old three leg Queen! She's still in an amazing shape and go outside few minutes every day! My other pet that I love very much (as long with my other 3 🐈 😅) is my new Jumping Spider who helps me a lot with my fear of anything crawling 😅

I dknt breed but for the QOTD my ball python Orochimaru is my favorite animal. I wanted a snake since i was a kid and i finally got Maru in my 30s. He's a beautiful pied boy. He was very scared and liked to strike when i got him but after working with him for months he is now the sweetest boy i would trust with any child. He always wants to come out and hang around my neck while i do my daily reptile care. He is just so special to me ❤

Love seeing emperor scorpions! ❤ I think I’ve posted on your channel before how we had some as kids. We handled them regularly, usually once or twice a week for enrichment and exercise. They acted like they enjoyed it, so calm that they’d have their tail straight and flat behind them, which looks so weird on a scorpion.😂 They will always be near and dear to me because of that experience. I’m hoping my dad (science teacher) preserved/kept them after they died, I’d love to display them in a shadowbox. Sad to hear that they’ve become endangered through the pet trade- thrilled that you’re taking on this project! Can’t wait to see how it goes!

I've always had great success with frogs and toads. I really want some rain frogs. Just looking at their dopey, grumpy, squeak-producing faces makes me happy. I know their popularity has exploded due to the internet, but I know in the next couple of years we can get captive populations started in the US. If anywhere has the interest in the herpaculture and people with the resources to get it going, it's here in Florida.

Here comes the Green Tree Monitors!! Yay!! I'm not a reptile/invert keeper. Since 2020, I've been following your channel, as well as other reptiles/amphibians/invert creators to help me with my irrational fear 😨. Because of this, I have only ever been a cat mom and a bun mom. I'd have to say that being a bun mom was a very fulfilling relationship. I had a bonded pair that stole my heart completely. I think having exotic pets, with all of the research and education you have to gain for proper care, makes them more engaging. So yeah, although I love my Lucifee cat-dog 😉; my Punkin and Rory were my all time favorite fur babies. Punkin was a Mini Lop and Rory was a Brindle Lion head. Punkin passed in my arms in 2014. Rory was rebonded to another Lion head bun about 6 months later. It was such a bittersweet day having him leave to settle in his new home with his new best friend. Especially after watching him become the best little brother with Punkin.

You can buy these in Florida for $10 to $20 bucks lol. Oh in my experience, anything happens to the babies they died due to stress. These scorpions really care about offspring. Mine was pregnant and had the babies, being scared and 1st owning I reduced food thinking the crickets would eat the babies. Which was totally the opposite. She required more food, that she didn’t have and started to eat her babies and then died from the trauma. Good luck hope this helps.

Be very careful with that mosquito net ventilation, I’ve had big scorpions rip it up and escape in the past. This is especially true when the tub isn’t that deep, and your substrate is high they will be able to reach it. I would stick with holes in the plastic.
