Nice to find another UK comic channel. Lovely books. There are not many of us flying the flag. I am about the vintage books. I can never find Longshot books. Nice presentation.

Mail Call!?! Fantastic Four Annual #11 is where I was introduced to Namor the Sub-Mariner. However, the writing of Roy Thomas and art of John Buscema resulted in me falling in love with the character. His impulsiveness, his power, and savagery were on full display in that issue. Marvel Chillers #7 Love that Jack Kirby cover. He did so many covers for Marvel during his return. Dr. Who #1 with the Tom Baker version I remember as a kid. Hulk #345 is a great cover and love Peter David's version of the Hulk. Did someone say John Byrne?!? That is a super clean copy of Doomsday +1. After getting mine, I can see how difficult it would be to get a high grade copy of that comic due to the low quality of the paper it was printed on. Giant - Sized Dracula #5 is now on the list. Justice League #5 was a great issue. Loved reading that run back in the day.

Thanks for sharing your thought on these comics! It's always great to see them resonate with others. My first exposure to Fantastic Four Annual #11 was as a reprint in a UK annual. I similarly loved the Roy Thomas story and John Buscema art. Gotta love that Jack Kirby Marvel Chillers #7 cover. He did so many covers for Marvel during his return. My first Dr. Who was Tom Baker; still the ultimate in my opinion. Hulk #345 is a great cover and love Peter David's version of the Hulk. Glad to see we continue to bond on our love of John Byrne's work and that I was able to put Giant-Sized Dracula #5 on your radar.

Marvel Chillers was a fun title, although Tigra and Mordred never really took off after their try-outs there. Joe Gill scripted "Doomsday + 1". The Bwa-ha-ha era of Justice League has never grown stale, not in art and especially not in writing. Those comics remain crisp and their humour ranges from subtle to laugh-out-loud. DC managed to put together the perfect writing and art teams there. Well done on the pedigree books David. The stories behind many pedigree collections are fascinating and a good starting point is the CGC site, which lists all the pedigree collections they recognise, with a short history of each. Are you planning to do any claim sales soon? I've been tempted to join some in the US but the time difference and crippling shipping costs have put me off.
