Unboxing Bolt Action: SAS Jeeps

John and Gerry have the distinct pleasure to unbox, not just a couple of SAS Jeeps for Bolt Action, but a supremely weird thing of which only 21 were ever made...
Warlord Games have outdone themselves in terms of detail for the SAS Jeeps with all the stowage you can possibly imagine, but it is the monstrosity that they have reconstructed for the tabletop that is truly a thing to behold. Containing one big slab of resin and four wheels, this thing can surely chug its way on to the tabletop and into your heart.
Would you let the 'weird thing' spearhead your army on the tabletop?

This would make a fantastic armored law enforcement car for Arbites/2000AD type type minis. Put on some lights, a water cannon/stubber/weapon of mass riot control and some sci-fi doodads from your bitsbox and it's ready to go.
Never actually thought about heating resin models before clean up, only ever for reshaping/straightening. Good vid!
I'm actually half tempted, I'm doing a Tank Wars platoon of garbage, Stuarts and captured M13/40, with a pair of Matildas.

@@shotou oh, man! Sorry to hear!
An old TV show (which you can find on KZread) called "Rat Patrol" was all about these jeeps. The show was hardly historical and could be campy by today's standards. Still worth a watch though. The catch phrase they had that went from episode to episode was... "Shake It". The show was very popular in it's day. Which, explains KZread having every episode.

Could you imagine watching a hour show where the 1st half hour the heroes do nothing but sit in a waddy and scan for Germans with their binocs? The second half hour is them taking a piss and smoking a cig? Realism has it's place but it's not in a war drama.

@@readhistory2023 I think you just described every old james bond movie. Let's be realistic... it's a 1966 TV show. TV has evolved quite a bit since then. Back then... Rat Patrol was action packed.
One of the armoured Trucks was actually captured and used be Rommel as headquaters vehicle

Neucraft used to do an Otter in resin , they folded but Rubicon bought a couple of their French tanks and the Citron car . IRC Rubicon was trying to pick up the Otter ( had parts to make it Brit or Canadian )
