Good video. It’s so nice they ship these with decocker only models available. I hate the safety on these but everything else is so awesome about these guns.

Yes yes yes! The G model/modification is a nice addition especially if looking to carry a 92. The M9, if you can get one, is the only one I’d recommend (for historical military accuracy sake) to get the manual safety model.

I modified my 2 berettas with the G convertion kit now that they are decoker only they're the perfect edc gun specially the 92x compact model

​@@GunBoxTherapyI see Sportsman's advertising FS, M9, and M9 A1 models and for the life of me don't know if they all have the revised block that was previously failing on government contact models (after years of abuse with proof pressure rounds). Do any of your videos shed light on the differences between the core versions?

Note that some come with 2 mags only. Mine has the decocker, no safety. Makes a ton of sense. Great trigger, smooth racking of slide.

I know this sounds silly, but thank you for going through the items in the case before talking about the gun. I've been flipping through gun videos seeing people only covering the gun in their "unboxing" videos, wondering if this would come with anything regarding cleaning. Also speaking of cleaning, will the polish on the gun need to be cleaned off before your first time shooting?

Hey , I’m looking into the “RDO” variant of this fine piece. The only issue is that I strongly prefer the look of the OG “hump” grip - the regular 92 compact with rail looks better to me. But obviously won’t be optics ready…. My question is : do the wrap around grips mimic the look of the OG grips well? If they do I’m getting the RDO asap haha . Thnx

Yeah, same here bro! They are just so expensive! I got this compact for myself as a carry pistol but finding someone that makes holsters for it is proving to be difficult.

Hi, thanks for the review. Looking at either this or the compact carry. For size comparisons, Please line them up together, instead of head to head. Head to head demonstrates almost nothing for noobs, lol. I know what the extra 3/4 feels like, and I’d STILL like to see them in silhouette instead of ramming speed.

I'm lookin at getting one of these, I've got a Glock 19 but I've always like berettas, heard some issues with reliability on the ones made in the states though.

I've personally never encountered an issue on my end with berettas, whether they were made in the US or in Italy. Personally, I feel that a hammer fired gun is much more reliable when compared to a striker fired gun. I feel more comfortable carrying one too with the hammer forward vs a striker, under spring tension, resting on the smooth safety plunger. Never ran into safety issues with a striker fire though.

@@GunBoxTherapy I hear that, I grew up in the River Quay and my grandfather would make wax bullets for his snubby so us boys could target practice in the alley behind his house, to this day I carry a revolver more often than not, in the summer a 442 smith and wesson with a crimson trace laser grip and stoked with FBI load or underwood xtp ammo and in the colder months a model 15 combat masterpiece with FBI load in it from buffalo bore, I know it's old fashioned but it works for me.

I own dozens of handguns and I honestly like the Beretta 92X the most, it's probably more of a tie with my P-01. I am a sucker for heavier DA/SA pistols, I just shoot them so much better than the striker fired polymer pistols

I don’t discuss prices here because it can be an ever changing figure. I suggest go to the Beretta website and you can see the MSRP there. As for a silver barrel, I have never seen one but I bet someone could either silver plate this one or cerakote it.

I would say the grip is slightly, very slightly shorter but the slide/barrel feel slightly longer. I think it’s much more balanced in terms of size/weight.

If you felt like the 92/M9 was too big or uncomfortable then I would definitely say this will be a much better fit! I like my M9 but it is quite cumbersome to hold and this is much nicer in the hand.

eldar ksa, I had a similar issue with the 92FS grip. The original grip wasn’t too big, but grip panels were too slippery. I just received lok grips thin with full checkering. I’ll tell right now they are a game changer.

That was my intended purpose for buying the compact, however I have not been able to find any holsters for it. I have a custom Kydex holster maker near me but always forget to stop by there when I have time off. I do think it could be carried comfortably. The profile is slim and the grip shouldn’t print. Depending on your size and clothes/weather.

Not him, but I carry a full size M9 IWB and it's comfortable for me. I wear it a 3.5-4 o' clock position with a slight cant. The can't allows the S-curve of the grip/beavertail to follow the natural shape of my side. It's so comfortable, I've literally fallen asleep with it on. It is pretty heavy loaded with 18+1 rounds, but that just means you need to have a good sturdy belt and a holster that fits close to your body. The weight could also become an issue if you are older, have a hip injury, or something like that, as people who fit in that category have complained of it being uncomfortable.

I'd say you probably are. Literally looks like a slightly smaller version of the FS. Go shoot and handle one, it feels extremely solid and very far from cheap, and doesn't look cheap in person either. I've owned this gun over a year now. It's a tack driver and very nice weapon

Just the opposite in person - stunning piece - especially compared to others in its price range. Super happy with mine, buying the full size soon.
