I have really came to love aquamarine over time, its uniform shape is just so pretty!
Always great to have a Geo location for your specimen, it really adds something special. I remember learning about Aquamarine, when in times past, Sailors used to toss their Aquamarines into the water to calm the tempestuous seas. Great production, thank you.

Hi how are you
I must say these Aquamarine specimens are so special💙
I'm from Viet Nam and though I've known the basic colors of aquamarine like the specimens from Pakistan but this is the first time I've found out that ours have that deep and rich blue! It's fascinating that I'm learning new things everyday.

Im Vietnamese too and strangely enough, Id only known and collected the deep blue shades of aquamarine, all mined in Thanh Hoá. I didnt know aquamarine could be as pale as the Pakistan specimens. The Namibia one is actually closer in shade range to ours.

@@minh-hangnguyen6099 Is dark blue aquamarine just "man made alteration" = heated more to form darker iron Fe color on stone ? Not natural ? Baked in oven heat more than regular ones 300-400*C causes light blue if higher temperature then darker blue forms ?
When you look at Aquamarine specimen that is combine with beautiful mica, you know in your heart that you just need One
Those are some amazing pieces of Aquamarine!!!

If I’m reading correctly, this host is Rebecca? If so, Rebecca is awesome. Haven’t been into gems at all but I’ve binged a few vids now and she’s great at explaining everything with contagious enthusiasm. Fascinating stuff!
March 4th 🥳 We also have Aquamarine right here in Colorado.

What? Nothing from Mt, Antero, Colorado, or any of the other Colorado locations? You should do a segment just on Colorado gems. They're amazing!
Epic!!! 🧙🏻♂️💙🇦🇺💯
Aquamarine is my birthstone and I loooove the color. However, I don’t buy it in jewelry because the pieces I can afford don’t ever have the color payoff that the specimens in this video have. *cries in poor* That Vietnamese specimen is especially stunning.
Lol the “walks away with nothing” 😂😂
love your video format so much information as well as interesting to see the stones from different regions side by side
Y'all are a great presentation duo
Waawoo so beautiful we are here so interested to your team

I love this gemstone
Amazing..
11:31 They're a bit lacking in basic chemistry knowledge. What on Earth did she mean when she said beryllium is heat resistant? It's an element. No element can be destroyed by heat unless you get it hot as the sun. How well a beryllium compound resists heat will depend on the compound, not any single component of it. And how beryllium compounds behave has no connection to to the behavior of elemental beryllium metal in steel alloys. In their defense, I have heard equally chemistry challenged remarks from many rockhounds at shows, so they're probably just repeating things they've heard.
My favourite gem.
Great Channel! Great videos, very educational! I love geology and gemology, but I have a question that's bothering me because I can't seem to find an answer... Can you tell me how one can enter the Tucson gem show as a guest? Is it free, is it private or public? Any input would be greatly appreciated!! (I know that there are several gem shows in Tucson but I'm referring to the large one... the main event lol)
These aquamarine gemstones are so beautiful and gorgeous.😃🥰💎🌊 To know the how they get their blue color which is my favorite,🥰💙 where they came from and how they form is so fascinating.🤔 This gem is also my oldest brother birthstone too.🥳🎂 My favorites are the clean cut one and the thin deep blue one from the island. Thanks for teaching us about them and good video.😀👍💎

Hi , I collect different gems and make my own natural jewelry. Aquamarine is my birthstone . Lately , I have been seeing a “new”type of aquamarine hitting the market ….Devil blue aquamarine….is this a real stone ? Is it aquamarine? What’s the difference? Thank you in advance ….😄

Stop signs have 8 sides.
So, i found what im fairly sure is a raw Aquamarine a couple years ago at a river, its a nearly clear blue, definitely harder than anything ive tested it against (tool steel, glass, and more) it seems to have the correct structure, although the outer surface is foggy and rounded, its about thumb sized… and similarly shaped, is there a good way to reliably have it tested to know about? I actually have a few gems of similar origin (beaches, rivers, random mountain cave while hiking… haha) but i dont super trust most stores near me exactly…
That's my birthstone and my big sister's and one of my aunt's, there was a pendant from a shopping channel that I drooled over but couldn't afford yeah at $ 2,000 dollars but still I know I can get something much better for less I haven't found it and I rather have the stone than a gemstone.

Have either of you or anyone else on staff ever dropped or damaged a specimen prior to or during a video shoot?
@gems
2 жыл бұрын
Good question! We've had some close calls (particularly during this shoot: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hY6O2Nawhai2lLg.html), but I don't think we've actually damaged anything during a shoot. We try to be really careful with our one-of-a-kind pieces, that's why we had Brittany there to help put the big pieces on stands for this video. Accidents do happen, however, so stay tuned.

We have Emerald Ruby aquamarine blue spare
Is the dark blue aquamarine ="Devil blue"( in China ) just heated a bit higher 1000*Celsius to burn iron Fe to darker color ? When all regular light blue aqumarine is heat treated only in 300-400*Celsius. Ocean green color non-heat-treated is impossible to find. All Beryl are heated to blue.
