Automatic knives being illegal is illogical. The deployment method of a knife is the least of my worries, if I’m being attack.

I agree with you on this one! I get that maybe it serves as a deterrent but if someone wants to use weapons for ill intent, I doubt a law would stop them 💀

Ellis Cofield- I agree 💯 a knife is a knife, why should it matter how (or how fast) it deploys? I have regular flipper knives I can open just as quick as an auto.

I agree, by this logic fixed blades should be the ones banned. I can open a knife just as fast with a thumb stud. also you would think length and shape would be the primary concern here.

It’s not illegal to own automatic knives, but in some states it’s illegal to carry it in public

It’s remarkable to me how many knife tube people fail to realize that. Runt is dope though since it’s CA carry legal.

I wish Pro-Tech had better QC. I want to love mine...I do. My TR-3 has a pivot that can't be dialed in. My Pro-Tech SnG needs routine adjustments. Did I get 'lemons' or the routine?

I haven’t had any run-ins with Protech CS or subpar quality knives yet, but I imagine they should help you out with it, especially since Protech knives have movements and mechanisms specific to their automatics. Have you tried reaching out to them directly?

Bruh guns are an afforded right for the security of the government domestic and foreign, self defense and for hard-core environmental things, like living in Alaskan Woods or a dangerous ass city. It's dumb as fuck that these knives are illegal but if thats your validation for judgement, it's shit, especially because it's a state level matter, like guns.

Yeah it doesn't make sense but fear is used because they "look scary" or can deploy fast, yet a flipper not even assisted can open just as fast, But we don't care enough to have the laws changed

  • @joeasher2876

Illegal because it opens quickly? Does that make it more damaging than a fixed blade?

From what others have said it’s the concealment factor that gets lawmakers all nervous. And they’re old laws that originated in a different time

Just got my first auto a few days ago, a Boker Strike, it's cool! But I just don't see why it would be banned, I have a 10 dollar spring assisted that has more kick. Politicians must love scaring their citizens

Automatic knives suck, there's no good reason for a knife to explode open like that wanting to jump completely out of your hand and they have to be closed two handed. Automatic knives are a step backwards.

  • @RonKwok

That’s a good point about needing two hands to close. What’s your take on out the front autos that retract and deploy with one switch?
