Hi everyone! Sharing to you the Finnish version of the 2023 baby box or the maternity package given to expectant parents for free 🤗. I can say this is one of the reasons why Finland is considered the happiest country in the world and one of the best country to raise a child. For my entire pregnancy journey, I did not pay a single cent for my ultrasound, health check ups, laboratories, x-rays etc... as long as you are covered by Kela which is the Finnish government agency in charge of settling benefits under national security programs. Hi, you can claim the maternity package as soon as you receive the certificate from your nurse or at least 2 months before your estimated due date.
