Ucapkan salam, doa ketika memasuki sebuah ruang. 🙏☺✨🌾🌾🌾🌾

I agree with “menundukkan” kepala semasa masuk ke dalam rumah di mana ciri-ciri yang sama diikuti dengan rumah orang India (Tamil) dengan konsep yang sama. Pintu depan kecil dan harus menundukkan kepala meninggalkan status atau ego dan be humble as you enter into the house with respect 🤗🧡💛

Javanese house "joglo" are designed to be dismantle and reassembled..That's why old javanese house in a good condition usually have good offering from collectors who are willing to build them again in Jakarta.. But never I imagined it will traveled far to Malaysia..It'll cost a lot, but I guess it definitely worth it.. Nb: you need experts javanese craftman aka tukang to assembled it correctly, not every one can do it the right way.. So kudos for finding those craftmen..

Farah is definitely more Javanese than most of nowadays Javanese people in Indonesia. Actually the wood carvings that go inside a Javanese house are not just any carvings, they are coded and symbolized so that the owner really feels the home as a sanctuary that provides comfort and protection against the bad external influences. If you look more carefully that most of the time the main wood pillars of the house ("sokoguru") and the main roof ("tumpangsari") are protected further using gold needles that are installed inside them. These golden needles have been blessed through traditional rituals with aim to provide additional protection and comfort to the owner. I take my hate off to Farah for her courage to preserve the beautiful home. In syaa Allah the home will provide her with even more joyful experiences to Farrah and the family going forward in Malaysia!!

Not enough javanese she is, especially when her home design alone are not purely joglo design but also an influence of modern bali villa style, and isn't she have never been in java? Pardon me but you sound unrespectful to javanese which they're mostly are living in a village not city so how can she be more javanese LOL.

Joglo house, my javanese pride 😂 I've watched that crazy rich house episode, but for me Farah is the richest person in this world. My jaw droped to the floor for a whole video. Look at those carved doors and windows, wood panels, tiles, furnitures, even a whole structure... Damn. This house is filled only rare and very expensive woods. I think the wood itself worths millions dollar. Thank you for showing us this stunning masterpiece💕

I admire how she balances vintage with modern, and simple with intricate. Her home is exactly my style. I’m building a house for my retiring parents. This is the best inspiration so far! They love light filled open spaces and keep a soft spot for the traditional wood carvings in Southeast Asia. Thanks for sharing!

as javanese i need to tell this: joglo stand for anjog loro means 2 roofs. the front and the back the front part called "balai" can be built with "pendopo" style which the video refer as joglo, "limasan" style or even ordinary gable roof, the distinctive characteristic is it dont have wall or only half wall. this part of the home is for public part, serve the function as living room, party hall and other other activities. the second parts in the back is for privacy part or the home it self. the distinctive characteristic has huge two way doors, containing elder bad room after the door, bedrooms, the closet wich i forgot the javanese word of it, dining room and kitchen and other desired room. the bathroom and toilet is outsite the house, built separately like a shed. so joglo didn't refering to that roof shape styled building but the complete house layout

Thank you, Farah, for preserving Javanese architecture in the neighboring country. I am an Indonesian Javanese and hope that your hard work inspires many Indonesians to do the same and to take pride in the local architecture. As far as I know, Yogyakarta and Surakarta/Solo are 2 Javanese cities famous for preserving Javanese joglo style (Pasar Gede in Solo and Sultan Palace of Yogyakarta). This ancient heritage should be celebrated and preserved well despite the nationality.

There is actually reason why the doors inside or to the house is small and people have to bow or bend a bit to get it. It is actually meant to be a good gesture to the house owner. So when we get in, we bow down/lower our head a bit to pay respect to the one living in the house, besides it was also a common practice between javanese and being seen as a good gesture towards the home owner. ❤
