AFL got way harder hits 😂

The main reason injuries in rugby are usually less severe is that from a young age there is soooooo much training on how to tackle properly and safely. A good few of the knockouts in this video are just from bad form in the tackle. I played as a kid and every session there was practice on safe tackling and how to avoid injuring other players. Also once you play for a few months, you stop feeling the hits and it just becomes normal

It’s not the safety of the tackle it’s a game of “get the fuck used to it or quit” cause I’ve seen some absolute neck breakers when playing

Being from new Zealand and therefore a super mega ultra badman on badman tings we fought snakes and bears rugby style on the way to school then fought each other with the bones of the bear then rugby tackled our teachers all the way to hell and back so like only for Satan to send them back to rugby tackle us as an act of revenge, then we decided to invade the world by rugby tackling the whole of new Zealand so it merges into other continents then then invade via rugby fam, we're just built different and that's only Monday. I’ve been playing for 7 years what happens is you get better a lot quicker than you think same with the impact you get used to it. The setback of playing is the concussion (I’ve been concussed 6 times playing it )and other injured but for the most part it’s really fun and I hope you gain the confidence to play it

I played rugby back in high school and the most craziest shit happened that one of the guys on the other team ended up getting paralyzed because of the way he tackled 💯 it’s an extreme sport but I love it

Watching this the night before my rugby tournament

As an Australian, I watch NRL which is a bit different to rugby everytime it’s on. And it’s funny to see these guys reaction! 😂

You gotta remember these guys are 17-20st imagine running at full speed and then running at you full speed. Would be like diving into a brick wall!

I’m 22 st and 6ft. I have stood against people running into me and they just bounce off and fall over. I’d like a bit more muscle though tbf but still…

Yeah at pro level some tackles have the same collisions power as cars hitting walls at like 30 MPH and stuff due to the size and weight of the players..
