Unbelievable BARRAMUNDI Fishing Townsville | Catch and Cook

In a full-on session I catch plenty of good size fish including Barramundi and Giant Trevally. I castnet for prawns / shrimp then find a likely fishing spot. I finish the day with cooking a small giant trevally and enjoying a fish wrap.
I absolutely loved making this video and am thankful I can share it with you.

Holy Barramundi! You just caught a lifetimes worth of Barra at on spot. Amazing, and no crazy screaming and carry on. Just 1 man, 1 rod, 1 cast net and a really good knowledge of your environment.👏

I agree, definitely more of trend towards lure fishing than live baiting. Hopefully you find time to come for a fish in this area soon. Cheers, Brad!👍

It is not any different to having a picnic on any beach or Island in Northern Australia. It is croc country and the risk always exist regardless of the activity we engage in. I really appreciate your comment and being mindful this is croc country. Take care!👍

What size kale hook you using? Number 2 ball sinker ?

  • @returnoutdoors2210

I vary the size of hook and sinker depending how big the bait is and how much tide is flowing. Usually a 4/0 to 6/0 hook and a number 4 or 5 ball sinker gets the job done! Thanks for your question!👍

It is a custom made drawstring net and I don’t think they are available anymore. If I could get hold of them I would buy another for sure. It is a 9ft drop. Thanks for your question!👍

why are you throwing away fish which appear to be the legal size?

  • @returnoutdoors2210

I was satisfied with the amount of fish I had caught. There are also bag limits on the number of Barramundi it is legal to keep. Thanks for your question. Cheers!
