Not to knock you down but it’s pretty normal for a pro vocalist like Taeil. I used to sing too, and there are a lot of little things you can’t put your finger on when you’re not trained, but they make all the difference for a trained ear. Taeil nailed it. I was agreeably surprised by Jaehyun, I used to think he’s less of a singer than Doyoung or Taeil but damn he’s got control 😳

So it was Mark's idea to put "darlin', darlin'" in the beginning. It was a genius choice because it really sets the mood of the song. Everyone is great but I feel like Jaehyun and Doyoung's vocals suit this song the most. Their airy and velvety voices are just perfect for this heart-wrenching vampire love song.

The clarity, the range, the control, the technique. Taeil’s recording sessions are always a treat. Also, SM, can you please bring back the producers’ and songwriters’ commentary? It almost feels empty not hearing them react or talk 😭

I'm pretty sure it's because the director for this one is Kenzie, for some reason Kenzie doesn't want her voice to be heard, you can also see it during Hello Future uncut that they mute her feedback, she's also the one directing them for that

why is nobody talking about jaehyun’s perfect voice

the way mark is never satisfied with just getting an ok in the studio but have his own high standards for himself and uses his own input and ideas ,is why he's never gonna stop improving. he's so amazing, i'm so excited for his future.. i can only hope gets to write more of his raps because that's when he really shines the most. but he still does everything to improve the lyrics he gets its so cool.

Interesting to see the differences among the vocalists' techniques. Taeil belts using mostly his chest voice creating that powerful, solid sound. Doyoung belts in his mix making it sound easier and a little effortless but lighter in sound than Taeil's. Haechan places his voice in his nasal register a bit a too much in my opinion but it's what makes the Haechan sound individual and distinct.

However, it still remains harmful to the health of his voice if he continues like this. I understand your point!

I agree that Taeil's belts are "powerful" but I think he really needs to work on mixing that belt, and get a little more ping from the nose area in order to preserve his voice. He's singing from his throat essentially and that's not going to work in the longterm.

Doyoung's voice is sooo beautiful. He perfectly captures the emotion of songs about love and longing and almost brings me to tears. And Haechan is so talented. These two have such angelic voices.

Taeil really OWNS this song and he made sure his vocal performance will be the absolute best of best, he ate it up, a real singer this man.

Taeil with his vocal make my cry. He sings with all his heart.

Why isn't anyone talking about Jungwoo's voice? The boy made treble in such a simple way, although he was surprised that the next note of the song was high, he only did it once. haechan never fails to amaze me, each time he goes in that recording booth he just takes everyone's breath away

It's crazy how Mark's parts became more beautiful because of his thoughts and opinions. Literally the deep and melancholic "Darlin' Darlin" and "you're my favorite girl" became the part that we have in the song because of how he placed his on flavor into it. And of course we can't leave out the very specific "Adult Dragon" Crown because at my first listen to Favorite that speaks MARK to me. Go off singer and song-writer, Mark Lee!

Yuta has such a nice voice, it kills me that we don't get to hear it more often :(

Haechan really has an easy access to those 5th octave high notes. Yes, Haechan got female soprano vocals.

Taeil really did an amazing job! Everyone did but just a special mention to our main vocalist!

I have always vouched that Yuta should be given more parts!! He has a great voice and good visuals too. His small parts are memorable... And is everyone going to ignore Mark's creativity? His adjustments always stand out in songs. He should really consider being a producer later. True talent!
