Mashallah! I went for umrah in January, I went with 40 people including my cousins aunts and uncles…we all went because my cousin Maariyah was going to go for umrah but she passed away. She was like my sister😩 for everyone who sees this comment pls make dua for Maariyah❤

Unscented soap is very essential because you can't use scented soap or sanitizers in state of ihram ..

Just a heads up for whoever want to go don’t take a lot of abayat. 3 is enough because you can finish your Omrah in 1 hour and then you’ll have to buy gifts for family and you’ll see beautiful abayat 😅and you’ll end up buying lots of stuff! So make sure u have some room!

@@AmyPhilips jazakallah sister, I’ve also bought some other colours hijabs to go with black alhamdulillah :)

Also if you are staying in a hotel their bathroom fans (to get the steam out etc) are quite powerful - you can take less abaya, take some travel hand wash, wash and hang them on a coat hanger on the shower rail with the bathroom fan on and it will be dry and without creases very quickly maybe take an hour or two to dry fully, definitely fully dry overnight.

I’ve never been on Umrah personally but from my family and friends who have they’ve all recommended to wear baggy trousers (to let your legs breathe) instead of leggings as they won’t stick to your legs as it is hot in Saudi. Incase if wind and your abaya is flying everywhere you can get baggy trousers that are cuffed at your ankle

It's a voluntary pilgrimage to Kaabah that's not within the Hajj season. 😊 Kaabah, is also known as the house of Allah and it's the most sacred place for Muslims. Muslims face it during prayers.😊 Really hope you can visit it soon. How about you search up lectures about how Abraham rebuilt the Kaabah and how He prayed to the Lord about it.

Were the crocs slippery on the tiles because I'm so confused on what shoes to take as I've have bad experiences with shoe choices past 2 times I went

You can put deodorant or perfume on your body before ihram not after and not on the clothes. I made the mistake of using Purcell and I noticed later on it has fragrance listed as an ingredient. So be very careful. I had even gotten unscented soap I was being so cautious 😢

Also never overpack! Ofc pack everything you need and extras if needed but you know you’ll end up getting masalas, abayas and hijabs for relatives so you need that extra space! Trust me, from experience 😂
