Diego's powers are to move the trajectory but he just uses knives

guys, she's a mimic. she can't just use their powers whenever she wants, she has to wait for someone to use powers against her, and then she can copy them

I think Lila couldn't do anything to save herself from the Handler because her power only lasts for a temporary amount of time, simultainiously making her the stongest and weakest super kid. She mimics/ redirects other powers and, from what we know, she can only copy one power at a time.

I agree about Ben. But I also think it's because they were also all over the news during the 1960s timeline. They were suspected by the government. It would be irrational to pick the same kids that have been wanted by the government. Reginald also probably figured out that the OG umbrella academy had a purpose. Reginald keeps saying that they were to save the world. And they did- twice. They served their purpose, now he needed to find the other kids. It's the best thing to do since his main goal is to adopt as much as he could of the 43 kids as stated in episode 1. I'm guessing that he's expecting the OG 7 kids to come back in the future and form a bigger team (raven and umbrella) to fight a bigger threat. But that part is just a theory for season 3.

fun fact: originally, at the end of the episode klaus was the one who was supposed to recognize ben first but the directors changed it to the collective “shit” because they didn’t want to confuse the audience as to whether only klaus could see him (meaning we’d think he’s still dead)!

The reason why lila didn't use her powers at the end when the handler had a gun is because she had no one to mimic, everybody died

She could only mimic the powers while fighting w/ each person. She didn’t have anything to use when going against the handler.

I like this setting

Notice how Harlan was playing with a toy sparrow in the last clip. For them to come back to 2019 and Reginald now has "The Sparrow Kid". And yes, he didn't like any of the individuals he met, so he chose a different group of kids in the future. He never met Ben so he still selected Ben.

I don't know about that… considering the kids were all wanted by the government. That could've been the driving factor in choosing the kids. Also, he liked five.

Diego's powers at least from the tv show seems to be a form of momentum manipulation. Meaning he can change the direction of any moving object. Obviously it's based on his ability to move knives and now bullets in mid air. It's probably like how dad was telling 5 or klaus that they had wasted potential and wasn't fully utilizing their powers...I mean Diego might be able to move bigger things or smaller things if he trained...can he move a person falling? Iono. Can he stop a plane from flying? Iono but it's cool to think about. I mean even when he was young he had littler confidence in himself and he himself said, "knives are cooler" so maybe he never really tried.

I think most of us are forgetting that the original timeline doesnt exist past Vanya destroying the world in 2019. They changed the events because Five came back and tried to prevent it, but ultimately she still managed to destroy it. Now the newer timeline with the Sparrow academy is probably the only timeline that can exist because the other two simply could not exist anymore. Either way, can't wait for season 3

@@envy_chris8890 he did. But what's to say the only difference is that he has his body at the age he is at? It's still possible that the events played out the same, so that timeline still ends with Vanya

@@ashleygolden1994 not really. Young Five told Adult Five everything he knows about the primary timeline, that Vanya causes the apocalypse. Adult Five knows all of it, and will tell the Academy that they have to stop Vanya. They have to teach her control her powers. In that way, Vanya would never be in a relationship with Harold, and Harold will never use Vanya, and train her powers

The Sparrow Academy was founded by Harlen. You see him using his powers floating the toy Sparrow the last time you see him in the car.

Now that Season 3 is out, this is not true

First things homies: yeah probably one of the best finales to a season I’ve seen in ages. Hands down. Alright so let’s break it down real slick. 1) Reginald always stated the kids were just scratching the potential of their abilities. All of them. As we saw, Diego, Five, and now Vanya. Klaus has been hinted at numerous times with his ability to commune with the dead. (Side note: if you wanna see the actor who plays Klaus in a similar show, watch MisFits). 2) Ben being alive shows a lot of their altering the timeline as just the beginning. Apparently the comics gets more in depth and you learn about the circumstances of how he died or at least that’s what the show runner is teasing. 3) The Moon part I’m glad you guys followed that tidbit. It’s important to see what role it’ll play but it honestly has some stuff to come about. 4) The other 43 kids will probably be explored further in and we’ll find out what others are around. I know for a fact it isn’t over. Lila most likely will be back next season. 5) Five (hah I just realized I got to that) has been tinkering with time travel as well as we saw. The repercussions of it are definitely coming back to bite them all even further. We saw examples of it this season but they’ve been teasing what happened to Five might not be the end of it precisely. As you guys said, the timeline now has changed and we’ll most likely see the butterfly effect of how they rippled and changed all what was “normal” for them.

yeah it's too damn good

he did the bullet thing in the first episode of this season lol that's how he didn't get shot but the people around him did. The show explained his powers poorly. He can make things coming airborne at him change direction or manipulate things he can project.

How is blaming children for a sibling's death good parenting? And I'm still strongly against hating on Luther personally as he did get better compared to last season.

Lmaoo not Evan taking his glasses off twice. I haven’t read the comics so idk this is just my theory but I feel like the dad already knew them when they met him and pretended not to cause in the first season he planned his death days before the world was going to end to bring the umbrella academy together. Like how did he know it was going to end? So I honestly feel like this was all a plan for them to work together and work on their powers as a team. And he knows a lot about time travel so yeah again I feel like he expected for them to go back in time cause even Ben said the dad treated vanya like a ticking time bomb before she became one,he could’ve trained her and worked on her powers while she was still a kid but didn’t so yeah idk

@@iloveshrek7771 I think its all objects in motion. If you go back to season 1, Cha Cha is reading Vanya's book and says " the idiot in the mask" ( refering to Diego) " can curve anything he throws, usually knives."

It's kinda like how Barry Allen went back in time to save his mother. After he realized his mistake, he attempted to fix the original timeline but it still made an alternative timeline, hence the creation of Killer Frost etc.

Yall to make it clear. Her power is mimicry she can only use that power when the original host uses their power and can only use it the way they did. And for people who question why she didnt use it when five and her fought in the ware house was because the handler obviously didnt want to use her ace in the hole card at that moment.
