Yes but you have to remember the spring in the chamber that holds all the rounds can wear out usually so it's best if you only throw in like six rounds maybe 10 at the most

@@EZ-D-FIANT and same I bought the gun itself modified from eBay and have about 10 rounds in it now with gas unpressed but my main concern as well is the spring being messed up from it being loaded all the time but ya hopefully the springs aren’t too much I might need to get a new one who knows 😂

I'm in the UK and I've got one for home defence. I keep it in my bedroom and I'll only use it if I feel my life is in danger from someone trying to entre that room, which is a valid defence.

40 Joule is merely the entry level required in the zombie apocalypse called South Africa.

normally we have strict legislation in Denmark, but here there are no limits for co2 weapons, only that you must be 18 years old, I have the 40 J model here.

@@ModernIntel What specific act and section do you think prevents you using this for self defence in the UK (I am ex senior UK police officer who taught lessons to other officers in this area) .. it is legal to use a shotgun to defend your home in the UK under the right circumstances, you seem to believe the UK law lets you stab a burglar with a 12 inch razor sharp ceramic kitchen knife BUT you can`t shot him with a paintball gun .. again what act and section do you think prevents this gun being used?

From Denmark, got the 40 joule version. Good kick to it.

I'd like to thank you for the run down- I found it incredibly difficult to load, but watching- and then figuring out there was a little 'bump' in the chamber to lock the guide into helped significantly. Still is a major PITA tho- maybe I'll get more into it but it is high in the regret column right now.

In Swiss we have the 40 joule version free available, but it uses the 88gr co2 bottle! anyway, amazing product!

I have the 40 joule version. I have an old 20 litre mild steel oil drum which I use for tests. Very tough. Ammo, nylon and steel ball centre, much more efficient momentum transference. Result, 3 shots, side of drum fairly buckled, 3 tears in the the steel, ranging from 1 to 2 inches. I was blown away and very pleased Can send you some pics if you like, just tell me where Btw mine uses an 88g co2 cylinder

Great gun, I own and modified one to 40 joules and added a light laser combo in case of night use. It will punch through 1/2 plywood with all aluminum or PVC coated steel balls.

Yup and it'll split a coconut in 1-3 shots, so imagine what it would do with a headshot.

Nice air gun. With 68 caliber and long barrel, this air gun has lot of potential. There is already hpa adapter for T4E series markers, to which you can attach remote line and run it off external paintball tank. I would be surprised if that adapter doesn't work (provided you make a small hole through butt end cover).

It's perfect for home-defense it's not going to be any good out in a playground playing with others you know with paint. Mainly because in a paint situation you're trying to be somewhat quiet in that cocking is pretty loud but if you use steel core with a rubber outer the ball will be pretty hard-hitting

I am actually looking into buying one of those, we don’t have any restrictions regarding the power, I saw that 16j and 40j are the same price. Sorry for asking a stupid question but as far as you want to use it for home defense is it gonna make a huge difference to have 16j or a 40j?

if your somewhere that allows you to use it for home defense then the 40J version is going be a lot more effective.

Wold be much better with pcp. This days it's no problem to build this chamber for 300bar and get a good shot count, like on the air rifles.

I have just that. Heavy slugs in 6,35mm going about 950 fps, Cutting a tiny piece if a drill 1mm or 1mm Allen key. It will fly after passing the human body with ease.

U can buy it with a tank with 45j for a long time. In Austria there is no limit u could also go to 100j, but that’s murde, but u can also buy a rifle with 18.

I don't use paint. Just Uncle Floyd's Hell fire pepper balls. With a surprise... .25 cal steel ballbearings, and or bb's can be used in different amounts making your ammo very versatile. I swear by Floyd's products.🤠

I think its only effectice for SD if you use pepper rounds. For pain purposes, any old 12 gauge with birdshot or rubber slugs would be a more reliable option.

At 7.5 Joules Pepperballs are your best friend with this one. At 16 Joules it's good for both. And at 40+ Joules it kinetic rounds only at Pepperball rounds would explode in the barrel and breach from the air pressure.

what about the 40 joule? have you a video on that one and will that work for self defence for real with some kind of pepper balls,?

May be I commented before , such a good video for info but none you ever do a grouping shoot. So we know it's not meant to be that accurate, but a gouping at 20 30 or 40 foot would be so helpful .... speaking based on the 16 Joule I can't believe no-one has done that. If you're shooting someone at 20-40 feet in self defense, you're going to be arrested for assault with a weapon. Most of the time you'll be using it at 7-12 feet in a self defense scenario. Whether or not it can group a shot at 40 feet would be irrelevant.

At 40 Joules, the kinetic rounds are traveling at close to 400 mph on average. Imagine getting hit in the chest, groin, legs, or knees by an object traveling that fast. A headshot at that speed would at best cause fracturing of the skull and at worse kill the person outright. I have a 40+ Joule HDX and at 20 feet I can split a coconut with 2-3 shots. The first punches a hole through the coconut and the second and third split it in half from the kinetic force.

Ask your local filth station...I did, and in the home you can defend yourself within reason. Not sure about on the doorstep or chasing down the road is the same. Think about it, if they have a knife what you gonna do take it and say well the law says I cant use that home defence gun against an intruder, I'll just die. If you don't have a gun, get to the kitchen, f the bs laws. Think Tony Martin the farmer. He used a real gun.

@@ModernIntel while I have your attention I have a couple of quick questions you may be able to answer thank you please! 😁 Do we know the max PSI these can take? Is the only difference between the 7 and 16 the restrictor or is it just similar without one, (I want to push the psi so if the 16j is physically beefier in some way it decides for me, if that makes sense)?

I got 40J version upgraded with a valve from homedefence24 up to approx 70J. Measured by cheap and not very accurate chinese chronofraph. I my country there is no upper limit of nozle power still you register with acordance with the regulations. Tested with range of balls from ruber to steel. Best performance with aluminum 7.5 gr.

It could if you hit them several times it could be a deterrent. You can load pepper ball ammunition in it which I think if you hit them once or twice would be enough for them to drop. At which point you detain them until police arrive.

These items have to have the same power as our utterly useless air rifles in Britain? Very disappointing. You're looking for a constant 100 joules minimum for true home defence weapons, so these markers don't cut it. Fun for paintball, though, they look good too.

I own the 16j version and 40j version most these clowns on here are a bunch of used up wanks lol complaining about stupid stuff my 16j is worthless no just the user is worthless lol and inept here in the US we've already got the hdx 16j version with 2 mods and a firing pin swap to 40j on 2×12 gram that's 300fps with a 8gram grimburg Jul round I've seen up to 315 -320 fps with crb Canada riot balls they weigh 9.9 grams so no umarex did ot right just sad the ppl who have the most access to these can't figure it out the ones to get these released last to us in the US we figure all thr mods out hell ill sell you a brand new modded one still new in box never been shot just modified for 450 plus shipping its got the quick piercing c02 unlike 40j version this version is the ultimate home defense that's all the 40j with ninja shp reg and bottle no mods 65 joules out of box

My God. This is trash. Not a paintball recommended paintball gun. I think it's kinda BS that it don't work out of the box without mods. A good paintball gun gotta shoot under 300 and over 260 out of the box if it doesn't have a Velocity adjuster

This isn't a "paintball gun" in the recreational sense. It's a CO2 powered gun that happens to be able to shoot paintball. Its marketed under their home defense line and in that sense it does work out of the box providing you get the right one for your country. That is the problem when recreational paintball reviewers gloss over that fact and players misunderstand its entire point. This is also why T4E products don't come with velocity adjustment.

@@lolzlolz102 Right. My chief complaint is companies like Modern Combat Sports sells these for "paintball" and it confuses everybody. 😕 I'm not against pneumatic guns etc. Just when they are advertised to paintballers to buy for paintball when it really isn't ideal.

I would not use that for home defense at all. You would just end up pissing the home invader off even more.

@@russellwalker3899 you should check out “PoliceActivity” here on KZread. It’s a great example of the kind of crazy stuff that cops in America have to deal with. If they weren’t given the ability to adequately protect themselves, we wouldn’t have many willing cops at all.
