I just bought the 40j version, it’s legal in my country and it was on the market. U get up to 50j, but 40 is already a bit much.

Can you use one full Co2 12g alongside an empty Co2 12g? For 16 joules... Obviously, it will reduce shots, etc. I have tried using one full and one empty but the Co2 release button doesn't raise, and if it does it only raises slightly. It seems to me the gun is not designed to be used this way due to not creating enough pressure to raise the Co2 release button. I could be wrong, it could be a faulty gun...

Im assuming the velocity values were in meters per second? Also, have you fired any paintballs out of this, or first strike paintballs by chance?

did you use the PSI regulator at 1100 psi? I have the 40 joule version and want to upgrade the gun as well but was worried that it might not handle 1100 psi!)) I think you had bad results due to a bad Chinese regulator! Maybe I'm wrong, but you say that something is interfering with the air supply! After all, you have the last adapter and there is simply a valve that automatically opens when screwed in! The problem is in the regulator! It does not produce the stated 1100 feet per square inch! But the main question is whether the gun will work maintain these 1100 feet per square inch?))

so 40j is great, so why do you still have to drill out the pin?

So you went from 7 joules to 30+ joules with just adding the 88gram adapter? I just got my hdx68 11 (J) version and not sure if I should get the power kit or the adapter for the 88gram c02 cartridge.

Are to putting oil on the carts? Are you certain their both facing the proper directions? I do t have mine yet, but those seem to be common mistakes.

@@MarkWilcock Hi Mark, firstly there are good videos on Less Lethal for Dummies and Mad Dog Airguns (KZread) for taking apart your HDX 68. Secondly, the major weakness is a small, toughened O-ring which nestles into a recess at the narrow end of a cone shaped piece in the valve unit at the heart of the gun. Phone Modern Combat Sports to check you order the right one. If they are sold out, Land Warrior Airsoft are really good. Taking the gun apart looks really complicated but is doable slowly, taking pictures as you go and watching the KZread guides. An airgun shop can do it for you. I was astonished how one little O-ring could be such a big problem. Anyhow, I also fitted the Home Defence-24 power kit while the HDX was apart and it is now a real joy. The machine is really too powerful for paintballs (one of those blew out the problem O-ring) so stick to rubber/metal ball ammo. Doing the above was worth every minute of the angst as the gun separates into dozens of bits and screws. Work on a big towel to reduce the loss of small bits which drop/off and spring out. Enjoy. Not hard, just lots of bits have to come off and plenty of screws.

Yes, I had already power tuned this one, with the powerkit from Homedefence-24 and removing the valve. Only got about 4-5 good shots using the two 12g co2, so this is a game changer for sure.
