Umarex HDB68, 88 Gram CO2

Just a test of my HDB68 with 88 gram CO2. This is only a test, not something for everyday use. Check out www.homedefence-24.com

Hi Rune. JoNathan Scott is currently selling an adapter that replaces the charge indicator pin cap and comes out of the back sort of like a z chamber. The adapter has a quick connect for hpa. This allows you to run an hpa remote line so you can mount an hpa bottle on the side. He is also working on an adapter that will allow you to mount an hpa bottle or an 88 gram co2 directly off the back which will make a great shoulder stock.

And then compare mine with yours. I was hoping not to go the 88 gram route because of the expense vs HPA. I have 3 PCP rifles here a compressor and 9L bottle. Was the CO2 restrictor in or out with the HPA adapter in? So glad I got one of these HDB....they are a Blast! 😂 The HDR 68 and 50 pretty cool but this thing with the 16 round mag is the best.

I was under the impression that 88 gram only added capacity, not power? The chrono numbers don't lie, of course, I just wonder how much pressure these are firing at? Surely HPA would be comparable? If not at 850psi, then surely 1100psi?

For a puppet valve the volume dont give more power, just more shot. But the spool valve in these markers dump a hole lot more CO2, and they love CO2 in liquid form. I guess the power on the first shot is abouth the same pressure as 900 PSI if not more 🤔

@@runerebel8441 - how did you increase the power? I'd rather have 6 or 8 shots with max power between weaker and 16 shots. a double co2 mod seems like low hanging fruit for someone to develop. Someone could design a quick change for co2, maybe a magazine built into the gun of 8g you rack every few shots. For home defense you need a decent mag. The ability to reload quick is a big plus. The ball mag seems simple and effective. Also wondering if any coating might help the ball seal better and not jam the gun. Thanks for doing what you do. Just remove the valveblock and restrictor and you have max flow of CO2. If you want to use 88 gram CO2 or tinker with other options then you need the adapter you see in the video. You can buy it from www.homedefence-24.com I have not made any spare tube for holding balls. But it might be a good isea if you use bulk CO2 or HPA. With a single 12 gram CO2 you dont have enough gas for a reload.@@1FeistyKitty

Hello my friend. Iam glad you like my videos. HPA and CO2 needs a more or less open valve to get any sort of power from them. HPA more so than CO2. The marker will still shot if you use it as a stock 7,5 joule with 1100 PSI HPA. But I guess the power will be lower than if you use it with CO2. Its best if you remove the valveblock and restrictor. @@malefanematsie3890 I explained this is detail in my video kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4uC2K-SY7qTYqQ.html but the summary is that once you start modifying these from stock and removing restrictors and valve blocks, more liquid CO2 floods the marker and will freeze/thaw the o-rings plus cause rapid gas decompression both of which will cause you to blow even a 70 or 90 durometer upgraded o-ring eventually. Stock markers of any brand that are low power aren't' so susceptible but power tune them and it's a big problem that sellers don't want you to know about.
