i am so happy that Mr. Zameer was acquitted, but the police officers need to be charged. I myself am a victim of false charges by the Toronto police. I unfortunately never got to have a trial or to be heard. I lost my life and now can just sit at home collecting welfare whereas before i worked in a firm for 25 years. Its disgusting how police officers can collude and ruin peoples lives.

He especially will need to get some counselling to get rid of the survivor's guilt. And as to those "friends" who abandoned them in times of need. These 2 guys should be glad to be rid of them, because they were no friends at all.

The trial's judge, Justice Anne Molloy, also apologized to Zameer for all that he had been through during the last three years - something one legal expert noted as significant and unusual. Premier Doug Ford also commented on the case Tuesday, after he previously called the court's decision to grant Zameer bail "beyond comprehension" back in 2021.....after the verdict he expressed his condolences to the Officer's widow but made no mention of Zameer. This is what you call a miscarriage of Justice.

It's a tragic incident for both parties but since you are comparing: Police officers have life insurance, which is higher for accidental death (I really hope nobody has to use it). These guys are new immigrants who were harassed, falsely accused by the police/crown, abandoned by friends due to the stigma of being accused of murder, and the extended family had to sell homes just to get the bond. I'm very disappointed with the crown and false testimony by the Police officers.

These days it doesn’t matter if the police say who they are, there are so many imposters, and for this to happen in Toronto underground is even scarier. Glad he got off. I’m sure it wouldn’t have gone this far if it wasn’t a police officer that died.
