I recently visited the Uludağ Mountain in Bursa, Turkey, for my birthday in January. I visited Uludağ Teleferik in September (you can watch my video here: • AMAZING ULUDAG TELEFER... ) and wanted to come again in the winter, especially for the ski season. This was my first ever skiing lesson which I was fortunate to do in Bursa. The Uludağ Mountain can be reached via the Teleferik (also known as cable car). There was an extra cable car we had to take to reach the top of the Uludağ Mountain, and then further ski lifts to take for the skiing.
Since this was the first time I tried out skiing, I hired a Ski Instructor for 1 hour who was amazing. I learned so much from my first lesson and was able to ski down pretty much on my own (with the guidance from my instructor of course), after just 1 lesson! Skiing in Turkey was an amazing experience and this was definitely the best birthday I ever had!
Uludağ means 'Great Mountain' and it is the highest mountain in Bursa. Uludağ is a popular Turkish ski resort during the winter months, however, there is also a lot to do during the summer months.
There are many outdoor activities to do in Uludag. The cable car is one of the highest in Turkey and the journey takes about 30 minutes.

If you are looking for things to do in Bursa then do not give Uludag Ski Resort a miss. It was a short bus ride away from Osmangazi Bursa, and also accessible by taxi, so do go there when you visit Bursa.
The Uludag teleferik (also known as gondola or cable car) is a great way to travel up the great Uludağ mountain as the scenes going up and down are just breathtaking. There are also taxi drivers that can take you up to Uludag mountain.

Hi Imran I came across your video when looking up Uludag ski resort. I'm planning to visit in February 2023. Your video was informative so good to watch. I will also be staying in Bursa and will travel to Uludag from there. Hoping to try to ski with an instructor like you did as its not expensive. How long was your lesson?? How long did you have the equipment on rental??. I will be checking out your other videos as I love Turkey. Good work keep it up Imran.

Thank you for your kind words 🌟 from Bursa port, you’ll get a free bus that takes you to the Metro. From the Metro you can take it to Osman Gazi. This is where Taxi’s are well stacked. It’s a ten minute drive from Osman Gazi to the teleferik and you’ll save money doing it this way.
What was the name of the place just before you get on the slopes? I want to book a hotel in that area?

It snows on the mountains but it depends because I’ve seen it be sunny and I’ve seen it snow in the winter, so it can be unpredictable that way
happy birthday bro....the ticket 250 turkish lira is for returned ticket? and i saw u stop before reaching the top...is it included in the ticket? or we need to buy another ticker to reach to the top?
Is it worth visiting the place for skiing in the last week of December? Will the cable cars and other services be available? Does it snow heavily in that time?

December is a good month yes. Sometimes they do close the cable cars due to excessive wind but a taxi can drive you up if such a thing happens

I suggest to take a Taxi as it will only cost around 50 Turkish Liras if I'm not mistaken. There is a bus that takes you as well but I can't remember where we got it from and how much it cost.
How much for taxi/dolmus to get to the ski area?

If I remember correctly I think it was somewhere between 250-400 Turkish Liras for each way. My taxi driver offered to wait for two hours, but I chose to go by cable car as that was too less of a time up there

Hello, first time we went we took a bus directly to the Bursa Teleferik entrance (I can't remember the bus number but you can find it using the Moovit app). The next time we just took a taxi from central Bursa to the Teleferik since it is very easy and cheap too. Hope that helps.

Turkey Ski resort are absolute shit in comparison with Georgia. Go visit Gudauri, there are much more better routes and infrastructure, also much more cheaper 👌🇬🇪
