Tycho and Steve are the kind of players I'd love to play on the table. The pure vibes these lads put out is fantastic.

Ooooh when those sternguard MOWED down the termies I was worried but Papa Nurgle saw it through. I love when Tycho plays he's such a huge personality. FOR GRANDPAPPY.

this is a testament to the personalities on the channel, I could not think of a pair of armies I would less want to watch go against each other, maybe death guard and… necrons? it’d be tough to think of anything less exciting XD but you guys are fun! The metrics must show power armor brings the clicks.
I saw this game open up and I sadly knew Steve was doomed 😂

I just finished the Godblight series so watching this is like revenge for burning the garden for Nurgle

Yeah!!! DG versus UM!!! I am a UM player and played a lot of crusade battles against buddy with DG. It’s great fun with lot’s of tactical decissions to make. Thanks for this battle Playon!

It works well enough. I dropped a Castellan turn 1 with Bladeguard, a LT, Pedro, and Extremis, delivered via Crusader- 36 attacks with lethal hits and full rerolls does wonders at turning things into scrap metal.. A lot of the strats don't work with the units Steve brought, and I was surprised that he didn't teleport his Terminators onto Tycho's home objective turn 1.

Steve BRINGING the energy. And honestly, this SM list should be tried again....Tycho was rolling crazy 5s/6s, so the results are quite skewed.

Steve, you were 120 points short on this list unless I am missing something, also. You built what felt like a normal list instead of a 1st company. You gotta have more things that let you use their stratagems.

Hellblasters got to be one of my favorite units space marines have. They counter pretty much anything because that’s how plasma works.
Gotta say that was an absolutely brutal watch. Poor Steve...

Death Guard is such a wall to run into. I love it. How Steve used his Sternguard on Terminators was nice to see and I will try that out against the Deathwing next time. Cause the last game sucked hard against them. Nice VOD here and thanks for the nice entertainment guys.

Anvil siege force is great against deathguard too, as they slowly march into constant gunfire All that +1 to wound and hit, and long distance firepower really punishes them

@@william9557 Yeah but I play the Raptors Chapter as Vanguard Spearhead and right now I do not have that many other Options that would make sense for the Anvil List. :) Only Hellblasters, Sternguard and some Eliminators. Gotta buy some Eredicators soon.
I would've loved to see the cp reroll on mortarions charge, as well as a Blightlord Terminator charge turn 2

Excellent content as always, a few things I thought I'd mention as a deathguard player, The Lantern has the [Pistol] keyword so you can't use it and the rotwind. Also Mortarion has d6 deadly demise

@@mondaynugget6503 according to wahapedia for 10th edition's pistol rules: (Pistols )Can be shot even if the bearer’s unit is within Engagement Range of enemy units, but must target one of those enemy units. Cannot be shot alongside any other non-Pistol weapon (except by a MONSTER or VEHICLE).

Tycho is the reason I’m building a death guard army. I still don’t know what does it for me about the army exactly but I know it has something to do with tycho bringing them to life. :)
I'm curious why there aren't more knight games. I see SM constantly and I understand its thematic but I do wish some more unique things would be shown. IK, Necrons, CK, GK, K sons, Ynarri etc However loved the episode, keep up the good work! Looking forward to every video even if I want some lesser used factions

DG is really a nemesis to the SM / UM! I've easily pawned them twice with DG
you need lascannons on that replusor so you stop tickling your enemy and smash them into dust!
I made a prediction once the armies were announced, and I'm a little sad to say it came true almost exactly. Tycho ad his BlitzGuard are such a dominating force on the channel, and I'm sure Steve can win games, just not on-camera generally. I think the poor guy has a like, 10% win rate on camera. I predicted DG victory and Guilliman downed turn 2. I was almost right, but Guilliman went down turn 3, but if Tycho went second it prolly would've been turn 2. Once the rule that his revive was a 3+, I just knew it'd be a 2... Great game, always love your guys' energy and editing, even with calling the outcome it was still a very enjoyable half hour of my night, and I wish more Batrep channels took a page out of your book. Best of luck to y'all and to Steve specifically, you gotta start rolling well eventually!

I’m trying to figure out the loadout that Tycho uses for his Bloat Drones and Plagueburst Crawler
How do you guys feel about if toughness vs strength of weapon was just a difference modifier to the attack roll and you modified armor saves by AP and cover? IE: strength 10 weapon vs toughness 8 model gains +2 to the attackers roll. And 1 ‘s always fail and 6’s always succeed

If anyone is curious as to who are The Purge worshipers of Nurgle are you will find them on most websites + in the last Codex's rules book 📖 & in 8th edition there's two pages of Death Guard company's, ie the Weeping Legion, Wormwood, etc, if you wish to added to your own Death Guard Army & Games Workshop last year mentioned The House of silence ( a hand held up ) that fell to Nurgle rot 😢 & look forward to seeing the fantastic battle report from this KZread channel, hurrah 👌
