So what Steve did was give the whole squad Vengor launchers that hit on 2's, i dont know what gives them re-rolls, except oath of moment. But the thing is only the Sergeant can get Vengor Launchers, it seems Steve gave that to the whole squad, who in reality can only have superfrag or superkrack launchers. I dont know when they filmed this but if i remember the desolation squad got this nerf in the first pass of tenth nerfs.

Just the Sergeant has the Vangor. It's actually the Anvil Siege Force that was doing it lol They stand still, which activates the units datasheet rule where they ignore the -1 to hit from shooting out of LOS and ignore cover THEN! the Anvil Siege Force kicks in here because it gives all those guns Heavy. They remained stationary and so get +1 to hit. That's how they hit on 2s They get the AP because the storm Speeder connected first :)

Votann are very CP dependent. They need their Strats to get firepower and without their Strats they can’t really do a lot. There’s a learning curve but after that votann can be great!

I love Votann, their a strange shooting army cause they don't shoot alot but man do they hit hard. Conversion is best tho. Heavy conversion beamer on the hekaton is insane, I've had so many shots go from 2 to 6 and at 4 damage a pop just slaps. My only complaint is they don't have enough models, there isn't alot of different ways to build them

These match ups are weird on me because I love space marine Steve, I hate his rolls tho 😆 But I also love the voice and love the energy JT has, I love all their energy You guys made me dig around looking for the 3 Horus heresy books my brother bought me a while ago, They’re a bit random and a few years apart on a couple, also found “know no fear” recently too

Have you guys ever imagined this game like the Millennium Falcon holo board and your moves are calculated with a computer and there’s a holographic image of the battle. I realize that half of the experience is building and painting these beautiful pieces. Maybe it could be like that WII game that when you drop your army it uploads into some kind of holographic interface. Sorry, I don’t play but fully appreciate the law, creativity and fun you guys have….

So me and a friend played a game of 40k recently and we looked up damage carry-over. We found a lot of posts that say that if a single attack does 3 damage, it can only kill a single model with 1 wound. But if you have three attacks that do 1 damage, it can kill three models with 1 wound. When the Land Fortress shot at the Infiltrators at 5:07, it looked like it was one big shot that did 12 damage, so I was wondering if you guys decide to just allow damage carry-over or if me and my friend were incorrect in our rule searches?

As someone with both armies either one is very fun to play! Votann are really tanky and can take a good beating while dealing a lot of damage, their current rules are individually strong but there is a lack of synergy between units. Drukhari are very fast and are good at scoring secondaries and dealing with vehicles and infantry effectively with dark lances and anti-infantry guns being very common, however they are much less resilient than the votann and can die very quickly if not positioned well

I kitbashed my Votann champion with Gotrek Gurinson. It looks amazing

So correct me if I'm wrong (as I normally don't deal with it), but with that land fortress since it only has one attack, shouldn't it have only taken out one guy, not the entire squad? Specifically talking about the rail gun that did 12 damage.

I believe infantry can shoot through ruins if they are wholly within the footprint of the ruins.

@@grahamjames1983 the Anvil Siege Force detachment gives ranged weapons in your units Heavy and Desolation Marine's ability lets them ignore the hit roll penalty for shooting out of line of sight (and ignore cover) if they remained stationary, combined they hit on 2+ with blast, heavy, ignores cover and indirect fire

The Line of Sight in this game was .... odd. I swear like half the time I thought "they/it can't see that unit". Unless nothing of the terrain was ruins? Maybe neat to explain these things in future games.

What was the deal with the Stormspeeder and the desolation squad? How were they able to hit on 2’s. I need answers 😂

Hey! No worries! Desolation marines hit on 3s with their Castellan Launchers and 2s with the Sergeants Vangor Launcher The unit "Remains stationary" Desolation Squad then Ignores all of the detriments for shooting out of LOS and they Ignore Cover Anvil Siege Force gives all their weapons heavy, so they get +1 to hit when they "remain stationary" There was a turn when I connected with the Speeder to one of his Infantry units and it gives my army an extra-1 AP against it The Anvil Siege Force makes the Desolation Marines much more mean lol
