The thing that gets me and that I love is every battle involves billions if not trillions of personnel but by the time the next battle arrives they are replenished and rebuilt lol.

Well to be fair the Imperium is vast beyond measure containing millions of worlds.

You acting like the Imperium doesn’t have tens of trillions of military manpower, hundred and thousands of forge world, probably millions of hive world and agri world. So, there’s trillions of “souls” to go around every problems. Also note that Ultramarines have the most stable geneseed, so that probably contribute to their rapid-ish recovery, and now they don’t even have to worry about geneseed’s degeneration anymore (altho I can’t remember if it’s already implemented during this time, or was it after Guilliman’s resurrection with the Primaris)

The population of the Imperium is innumerable, the supply of recruits virtually inexhaustible. Raising new regiments to replace regiments lost in battle is just another day at the office in the Imperium.

I'm not sure how much of a difference it would have actually made. The Custodes tend to be a smaller elite force, and although it would have greatly bolstered the defensive force, I think the sheer quantity of biomass would have still overwhelmed them. Maybe the 1st company would have managed to hold out in the polar fortress with their help

There is one story of the emperor and his 300 killing 100,000 orks and only losing 2. I'd say they could crush any hive fleet in a ground war. Mostly due to the supporting elements like guard and sisters of silence. Their null field could mess with the synapse link and keep the gaunts feral.

@@songhan1586 even in the oldest version of this battle there were other forces defending macragge. There were even titans helping the ultramarines and there would be loads of guardsmen helping and the local defence forces the pdf etc.

UltraSmurfs vs the worst alien horror known to man! A great story of sacrifice, valor and sadness especially with what happened to the veteran First Company!
Another amazing video! One of the best I've seen and I've been diving hard into the great threat of the tyranids. Any recommendations for novels around them and any of the tyranid wars would be greatly appreciated.

When the Emperor and the Primarch of the Ultramarines met for the first time, the following exchange took place: "What is it your people call you, my son? What is your name?" the Emperor would inquire of his son, so that He would know what to call him. "Rabooft," said the Primarch. "R-Rabooft?" "Yes, milord. Rabooft." the Primarch confirmed. "Rabooft what?" pressed the Master of Mankind after a brief moment of silence with a few incredulous blinks. "Billyman." "Billyman..." repeated the Emperor. "Rabooft...Billyman." "Yes, milord." And on that day the Emperor would decree the Primarch would evermore be known by a new name. And that is how that Primarch got such a weird-ass name. The only way someone ends up with a name as silly as 'Robute Guilliman' is if they're covering up for one that is even worse.
If I become a High Lord Of Terra, one of the first thing I’m going to do is have an incredibly devastating weapon somewhere between Super High Yield nukes and Exterminatus devices. Would have been super handy during Nid invasions.

That or because of their psychic presence try and raise a legion like the Sisters of Silence gull of nulls and supported by adeptus astartes, choose the chapters that are best suited for fighting xenos opponents. Maybe even mobilize the death watch en masse.

First off, "nid" is extremely offensive to a heavily misunderstood species, who only wish to not starve to death. Secondly, can I interest you in a potluck at the hive mind awareness convention?

The first hive fleet was stopped by the ultras and the second hive fleet was stopped by the ultras as well at a battle on ichar 4. The aeldari took on half the second hive fleet though. Leviathen took on the blood angels on their way toards baal so your right it was blues before the red ones.

could anyone tell me what books i can find this battle in? going to be buying my first warhammer 40k books soon and this seems like a good place to start

Really enjoyed your video. Thank you. Just a quick question. If a chapter can’t go over 1000 marines how on earth did they keep fighting and taking losses then retreating and doing this time and time again if the chapters only have 1000 marines? Also, when Roberte Guillimon returned and reinforced all chapters with primaris marines did he change the codex to go over this figure?

at 23:30 , it is shown that warp drive detonation is very effective. Why doesn`t the imperium use it more often? Does anyone know?
@SleepySack
2 жыл бұрын
The Imperial battle cruisers are valuable assets, and the technology on board them is hard for the Imperium to replicate. They would avoid exploding their own craft at all costs, unless it seemed like the only available option, which was the case here
@samueltrusik3251
2 жыл бұрын
@@SleepySack Would it be possible to simply construct smaller ships, that are specifically made to detonate themselves against the Tyranid hive fleets? If BC are expensive, wouldn`t it be viable to just make a ship without weapons, and just really strong defenses and engines? Like, let`s be real, the Imperium would have no problem making these sorts of suicide ships. Or can only big ships do that?
@minhducnguyen9276
Жыл бұрын
@@samueltrusik3251 Not really. There are more than one problem with this tactic. Any ship with a warp drive can do this but of course bigger ships create bigger vortex when they detonate the reactor and they were trying to suck up an entire fleet. But the second reason is the bigger concern. Warp vortex are very inconsistent. Some will last only a few seconds, some will stay there indefinitely after the detonation. This is why the imperium try to avoid creating warp vortex as much as possible. Because a warp vortex that won't dissipate will distort both the local realspace and the warp plane, disrupting traffic forever.
I think Guilliman would react to this event after he reawake.

There was an orc that went into the warp on purpose to fight demons. He traversed the warp with Gellar fields down inviting attack . He killed so many demons that warp creatures eventually just started staying away from his ship . He was so badass that he flew around the warp with no Gellar fields and demons were afraid to attack him

@@commissaryarrick9670 i read about that demonkilla ork. It made its way to a few demon worlds until they found an empty world. Getting angry the ork leader shot the ground amd it reacted and bled so all the orks started chopping up and shooting the ground. Loads of demons crawled up out of the groumd and eventually killed all the orks. The demons bring the orks back to life after they die so they can fight over and over. The tyranods fought a chaos force at shadowbrink. Four greater demons one from each chaos god lead the chaos force. The tyranids won. Im not sure but the ork might have been called tuska the demon killa
I bet they wish they had a Halo ring😮

after listening to this, the tyranids are way too overpowered....lol..
Old one eye was unfrozen lomg after behemoth but even though it could have been from behemoth it was never recorded as part of behemoth. It was found and thawed out hundreds of years after behemoth. If the lore has changed to include old ons eye in behemoth its news to me. It makes sense that old one eye was part of behemoth but it was not the case in its usual lore.
Great video, really interesting. Bit of advice, try practicing on your talking voice, I don't know if you are but it sounds like you're just reading from a page. Try memorizing a couple lines at a time and then recount them as if you're telling a friend about it, rather than as if you're reading a book to a group of people.
Not gonna lie, kinda feel like they should have detonated a ship earlier.

Except the tyrannids hadn't consolidated the entirety of their entire force in one central close quarters area by that point. Earlier they were still launching their forces in wave upon waves.
I don’t think kraken and leviathan were remnants from behemoth
Such a cheap shot of story writing to add Tyranids to the world of Warhammer. It's like they ran out of writing ideas. But whatever, it's Warhammer after all. It's go big, and go hard or nothing at all. Haven't they heard of BUG SPRAY?!!!! Great video nonetheless.
*Ultra depression*
propaganda and fluff! The Ultramarines cried and wet themselves as the nids raked a bloody swath through their systems. They were only saved by the imperial navy. The blood angels were able to easily overcome its own Tyranid test with a handfew of irradiated auxiliaries, mutated bezerk allies, and all while being hunted by Karbanda. Robot Gillermoon only arrived to mop up the victory, much like he did 10k years prior when he failed to save the emperor!
