We also got to add the fact how Ultrakill changes the characters Minos was said to be a cruel heartless ruler But in Ultrakill he is the complete opposite of this Being a kind and generous king Sisyphus was aggravated by the fact all of his effort are for nothing and that everything he did was pointless But in Ultrakill Sisyphus accepted the fact his struggle was futile and he doesn’t regret a single thing he has ever done The mere fact he set a rebellion against heaven was all he wanted even though it failed When deciding these characters Think about how they would be if they were the complete opposite of how they are portrayed in greek mythology simply swap their personalities And just see what happens Also the last two prime souls were greek kings so thats just some more food for thought

The reason for minos changing is because he regretted what he had done when he was alive, and so to make up for it he started the lust renaissance and changed himself for the better. For Sisyphus I’m pretty sure only came to the realization that he doesn’t regret a thing after the fight with v1, but who knows

Honestly, that makes Lucifer more likely. In the terminal he's mentioned in, he's portrayed in a pretty good light. He asks god if it isn't cruel to condemn humanity to eternal torture. A question god couldn't answer so he cast him down to hell. He didn't betray god, god betrayed him. Also, we know for sure he's down here *somewhere* so it'd pretty disappointing if we don't get at least some encounter with him.

Given Cain got the First Blood, it seems reasonable to expect him to be our Last Blood.

Since both Sisyphus and Minos were also "noble souls", having done something to help the tortured souls of Hell rise up, I think that Daedalus is the most likely choice, as his engineering could be used to make life better in Hell for its victims and thus earn the ire of Heaven

If Hakida decides to turn hell into a boss, I guess it will be a heart of some sort of brian.

@Big Boi Dwight p ranking every prime just means that the extra challenge is to p rank the last one....there should be more of a challenge to enter the arena. Some more thoughs on this is that maybe there is a gauntlet similar to p2(and probably p3) but even longer and tougher with mostly demons,then after that,you enter hells core by going in a hellevator that takes you out of the last hell layer and into what could be titled core and then fight the whatever hakita decides

idk what yall been smokin but the voice doesnt sound feminine to me.

I imagine the Hell System would be the buildup to the actual prime sanctum, like hell itself is trying to stop you from breaking out this prime soul because of how dangerous they are and how they know how V1 acts. After all, Mirage Prime is a force that even hell itself couldn’t handle. As for the yellow arm, I’m holding out hope that we get Swordsmachine’s sword that can slice hell energy in half and can be thrown with some cool weapon interactivity there.

My favorite is the idea of Hell Prime. When there's nothing else to killing in hell, kill hell itself.

Prometheus prime is my personal candidate. He betrayed the gods, I think Is in Dante’s inferno, and is from Greek mythology. Like the other primes he is injured by his punishment, where he is chained to rocks having his guts eaten by birds, the design for that could be really cool. He also has sympathetic motivations, he gave fire to man so they could prosper.

P-3's boss is going to be Queen Elizabeth II, mark my words

Midas Prime can be a possibility (the dude with the golden touch), not sure of his appearance in Dante's Inferno, but he is a king in greek mythology. However, he is most know for greed instead of violence and stuff.

I wanna think that Eve Prime is a fun idea, like the original sinner being sent to the deep ends of hell seems cool

i find judas to be the most likely situation if HAKITA isn't doing a plot twist or something, but fighting HELL itself would be INSANE, i cannot wait to get to p//3

To be honest, I always wanted there to be an Adam and Eve Prime as a double boss for a final bossish feel to the P series in the game. Due to ULTRAKILL swapping the personalities of the figures inside, such as Minos being a genuinely chill guy and Sisyphus not having a single regret, I would imagine them deliberately and maliciously stealing from Eden, possibly even murdering the Eden Serpent, thinking of him as a possible snitch due to aforementioned personality swap, and being sent to hell for Violence, Treachery, and Fraud. Their strong wills probably would come from either the love they have for eachother, or they just genuinely hate god. I'd imagine the both of them being trapped inside of a monstrous hulking entity known as the "Serpentine Garrison" which is my idea of an unorthodox Flesh Prison, consisting of constant snakes that'd slither around into a humanoid mass, constantly moving around and basically crushing their souls into submission under their collective weight, and mid-fight they both break out, causing the snakes to disperse, and initiating the Prime fight. I'd imagine Adam would be a sort of "Bruiser" that would get in close and slap you around, whilst Eve would take a more ranged playstyle, throwing what I would guess either Snakes similar to Minos, or literally The Forbidden Fruit. So you would have to juggle between them to take them out. Of course, I feel as if it would be an absolute GAUNTLET to get to them, since hell is desperate to contain two prime souls, if they break out, heaven trembles even worse than that of either Sisyphus and Minos. Their appearance I would take as completely and fully faced, with both of them having a muscular and robust appearance, Adam being about a head taller than Eve, being around 75% Sisyphus sized, with Eve being around Minos height, maybe an inch shorter. With Adam taking a red appearance, and Eve taking a green, symbolizing the rage of mankind, and the color of the tree that their first sin took place. Their goal I think would probably not revenge against Gabriel, or revenge against Heaven, but revenge against GOD himself for punishing them for a simple fruit. And of course you cannot deny the beautiful poetic irony of it being that the Father and Mother of mankind itself are defeated by mankind's own creation.

There's 4 things we should take account for when it comes to the prime souls: 1. Color 2. Appearance 3. Deed and Incident 4. Goal For the 3rd prime soul, we can predict that they'll don the color red, which may represent their emotions like the former two. (i.e. Minos was sad and Sisyphus is happy) Their appearance correlates with their deed and incident as a husk. (i.e. Minos was selfless and righteous but perished with two parasites controlling him and Sisyphus being the figure head and was ruthless until he was beheaded) Their goal also correlates to their deed and incident (i.e. Minos wants revenge against Gabriel and Sisyphus wants revenge against heaven) With these in mind, there are two possibilities. First, the next prime soul was once a one man army husk who was feared by many in Hell and Heaven. The second with them being a leader and making a significant history or mark in their time as a husk and then tragedy happened. Judas Prime was well made, but I still think Tantalus and Ixion are the most likely candidates. On the other hand, i will personally break people who think Atlas, Prometheus, or any other mythical titan or person who arent based on any real historical people will be the next prime.

Whatever the next Prime boss will be, they'll be awesome and an absolutely insane challenge. I think with the way the Prime Sanctums went from a single room and prison to a city and prison, maybe the next Sanctum will be a massive prison that makes up the level itself. You must trek thru the prison, fighting off all the guardians it has in place before breaking the final seal to release the Prime Soul.

Cant even imagine how a "Hell Prime" might work

I've noticed that between layers a clear pattern arises, the first layer is a fight with V2 where you get a new arm and an alternate weapon, the second layer is a fight with a massive boss with plenty of spectacle, and teh last layer contains a fight with gabriel, somehow advancing his story and relationship with heaven. it can be assumed that this is how act 3 will go, but i really want to talk about how the prime sanctums have moved along. in P-1 we break the prime soul out of it's prison, in P-2 the prime soul breaks out of it's prison right as we get there, and so I assume that by the time P-3 rolls around, the prime soul will already be free and we might have no choice but to fight him. this would be a serious subversion of expectations on hakitas part, but naturally, the best subversions are the ones you can't predict, so it's all really up in the air. EDIT: I've just remembered that the prime soul of every act is the king of the first layer, so it can be assumed the the king of violence would be the prime soul, whoever fits that bill

I love this damn community. I have been able to compile a speculative soundtrack for the entirety of layer 7 thanks to ItsDuv and Combo Pyro, as well as multiple treachery soundtracks, as well as like 3 P-3 themes. its absolutely insane. Personally, I think Judas would be my personal pick for most likely or favourite. It just seems really cool and very fitting.

These predictions are really interesting to listen to not only because its related to ultrakill but also because you get to learn something new about different mythologies, good stuff internet stranger!

Honestly, Gabriel Prime would be an interesting way to wrap up his character, maybe even feeling gratitude towards V1 for showing him a path that doesn't include the corrupt council of Heaven. It'd certainly be a unique way to end a Prime fight, with Minos showing sorrow towards those he couldn't save and Sisyphus showing a lack of remorse towards his past actions. Plus, it's more of Gianni, which is never a bad thing.

And it could make sense. Maybe he dies after 24 hours pass and he forms his Prime soul with no one to imprison him, since he killed the Council and all.

Gabrial Prime is never gonna happen, in Christianity angles are described as either having only a soul and no physical form or no soul at all, but mostly their soul dies when they die, plus even if Gabrial have a soul and he do go prime it'll still probably take time, I think in Ultrakill lore when sisyphus was put into his prison he's already going prime but it probably still took time until he's fully primed, I don't think V1 going through act 3 is enough time for a soul to go full prime and plues plues what about the flesh prison? both prime souls are captured and put in prison but Gabrial killed all the high concils, unless there's more angles I really don't see it happening so the chance for Gabrial Prime is VERY low but not absalutly impossible, and again it's Ultrakill we're talking about, we literally have a sex update so why not Gabrial Prime

I don’t think Gabriel can go prime as he is made of of light and not actually a soul, only humans have those. However, Gabriel has defied his fate once by betraying the council, so it would be exciting for him to defy logic and fate again by turning into a prime version of himself, as he certainly has enough will power to do so.

Ultrakill sex update?

My theory about the gold arm in ULTRAKILL: Swordsmachine might come back, driven with rage, and revenge. The arm will basically upgrade the Whiplash, now connecting to walls with a thorn hook. Swordsmachine upgrades his sword, gets enraged when you fight him like Gabriel AOH.

The yellow arm could be Gabriels swords would be really cool

The question is who else could be influential enough to become a Prime Soul? Minos and Sisyphus were both kings (and both Greek), but they were also apart of some of the most influential stories ever told. Minos had a role in several Greek myths and was the "infernal" judge at the entrance to Limbo in the Divine Comedy; Sisyphus cheated death and then became the icon for absurdism thanks to Camus. All this to say that the last Prime Soul is basically the winner of the Afterlife Popularity Contest. Could possibly be Odysseus, considering that he's both the protagonist of the next most popular piece of literature next to the Divine Comedy, but also the bastard of Sisyphus

Yup, odysseus feels like the most obvious answer. Prometheus seems incredibly cool, but sadly he's a titan and not a human. However, we'll just have to wait and see what hakita pulls up. I hope that the next prime boss will actually be another Greek King character. I don't really like the idea of hell prime or gabriel prime or a machine prime. Having a trio of badass greek characters in the game would be so cool, breaking up that pattern would be very unsatisfactory.

Great video! I'm new to Ultrakill (been playing since act 2 was released) and don't know much of the lore, but everything you discussed was quite interesting.

Speculating is just really god damn fun! Both the final product and what we speculate is really thrilling...

I love your idea of hell itself being a boss. Though I kinda feel like if it's going to be any of these, it's probably Judas, and then there'll be a P-4 where you have to have every single level in the game P ranked, and that's where I feel it'd be a really cool concept.

Achilles would be a good candidate, He's a king and he was in greek mythology, Achilles would probrably be a very violent person in the ultrakill universe, Thus resulting in him probrably landing somewhere near Wrath, Achilles is a great candidate because he was demmed to hell, Also Achilles was a great candidate because he tampered with the angels similarly to sisyphus and minos, His story would probrably be something of achilles being tired of the constant torture of wrath resulting in him having some sort of conflict with Gabriel, Gabriel would then slay Achilles resulting in Achilles being sent to a lower area of Hell, Achilles having special properties of strength would probrably give Gabriel a run for his money, Since Gabriel saw that Achilles was very strong he would probrably inprison Achilles to keep his strength locked, Overtime Achilles would lose his immortality but the anger he felt inside of him would keep his soul alive, He would be kept in The Flesh Penitentiary to keep him from escape, He would probrably be red to symbolize the war he did, There would be spikes coming out of both of his achilles to represent the arrow, A green gradient would sprout from his legs to represent the venom. or it could be jesus prime

The Judas concept was so damn cool, but i don't know which one i'd like the most.

daedalus sounds like he could play into a lot of the lore of ultrakill so i think he would make sense

I like the idea of conjoined prime soul - Cain and Abel. Abel fights for Cain, trying to get his brother out of hell, but Gabriel stopped them.

i think the "hell itself" theory is valid but not as the definitive prime boss but as a flesh prison or panopticon variant for p3

Fun fact: the death sound and the doors locking sound are the same but slowed down. This may be a hint toward the posible Hell prime in P-3

I think adam and eve are a fair idea, and both at once would be a difficulty increase from sisyphus prime and p-2 in general

I remember when I first heard that there would be 3 Prime Sanctums (Before the P-2 Update), and I was basically still completely new other than completing the whole game, not knowing any lore or anything, but remembering how it was prophesized by the council that he will die in 24 hours, thinking "You want final special boss material? Thats some hella good final special boss material", and thinking he would totally be P-3, the only thing that kind of shook me was trying to come up with just *how* that would work. Some of the things that I came up with, was maybe once we kill him, after a while he turns into a prime soul just like that, but it would be odd for it to be a prime sanctum knowing very well that he would coming for us. On the other hand, my favorite idea, was maybe after we kill him, we finish off the rest of Hell, no more creatures, leaving V1 with no choice but to wander, but as Gabriel dies, the rest of the angels in heaven, mortified that he killed the council, put all of their strength into forming a prison, that V1 eventually stumbles upon, and ending up with a prime soul yada yada etc.

I just hope we get a snowy environment for one of the layers as we havent had one yet

i feel like Judas Prime or "Hell Prime" would be a good option. but at this point, after all that we've seen in Ultrakill, it would not surprise me that we se something like Hell Prime lol. Imagine fighting a paradigm.

i personally think it will most likely be Prometheus as he would fit the best thematically. Also take into consideration that a prime soul is a soul with so much willpower that it manifests a body for itself. Angels do not have souls like humans do. Therefore, Lucifer and Gabriel prime are impossible unless Hakita just decided to disregard that.

I hope that you get the yellow arm from the original swordsmachine. The game mentions that the swordsmachines we fight are all copycats of an original swordsmachine

i think daedalus prime could be cool if it followed that "create something that allows man to do what nature does not allow" with the example you gave being scuba diving gear, incidentally going more of the modern route of this interpretation of daedalus and making him a high tech prime soul, not bound by tradition or the old ways like others. a flying sci-fi prime soul zipping around your screen shooting lots of different projectiles and keeping distance from you. minos and sisyphus only really had shockwaves and explosions (minos did have some projectiles but not many), so i think a projectile based boss could be fun and hard seen as healing will be much harder to do, relying on parrying fast moving projectiles in a bullet storm to regain health rather than shooting the boss up close with a shotgun or knuckleblasting like you can do with the other primes.

What if Gabriel become a king of haven in a very last days of his life, and maybe as a prime soul? That sounds interesting

For the prime souls to exist, they must have a strong will to exist and fight. Gabriel seems to accept his unevitable death, his story is coming to an end and im not expecting him to be the third prime boss My main speculations for the third prime soul would be Daedalus or Judas considering how their stories went and ended.

Also there are always refrences to said prime soul in the main stages, like the corpse of minos, or the sisyphean insurectionist, and in the new violence layer they introduced the minotaur boss, making it more likely that the third prime soul is daedalus.

I think it would be cool if Judas went into a state where he couldn't be damaged when he's on low HP and you could only kill him via parries, since Judas died by killing himself.

honestly would have loved to see jesus prime as the p-3 boss but hakita has sadly shut that idea down. :(

to be honest, even if it's hard to predict hakita, i don't think he's gonna sway from the pattern last minute, or at least not too much. sure, he isn't known for changing the game's story after community suggestions, but he still tries to include everyone i feel. what WOULD be a lot more like him is adding more levels than what we now expect to act 3 so he can put more bosses and make everyone happy idk

I think it's likely that we might see Cain referenced in one of the secret mission Terminals in the third act, given that they follow a theme of describing God's experiments and interactions with others. We might see Cain mentioned as the first sinner and the first natural born human to defy God's will

I actually quite support these theories, especially the Cain and Judas one. Hope Hakida does any of these.

The only problem with Gabriel Prime is that prime souls require strong will power to survive which Gabriel lacks as he accepts his envitable death by killing the council.

accepting death isn't a lack of willpower. in fact it probably took Gabe a LOT of mental strength to follow through with it knowing he'd die, but he chose to anyways because to him it was the right choice

I think that a character like prometheus or daedeleus is likely to be a prime soul, as all the prime souls so far hav been characters from greek mythology

theres also JESUS prime himself and along with the judas concept theres addition to that called cassius and brutus(the theme of cassius and brutus has a motif of judas primes fan made sound ttrack)

I think its highly likely we'll steal Gabriels arm after we kill him. It would probably add a potential for closer combat (i.e swords) or be something that sends out energy in a blast or something.

Fighting Gabriel as a prime soul or as a husk would be very interesting, that would be awesome to see in-game! What if as we're fighting him during our final battle Gabriel just drops dead of a heart attack?

having something like the boss arena in 3-2 as hell its self would be epic. like your fighting this giant thing that's attacking you from all sides.

dallas is the prime soul he heisted so hard and when he passed he got sent to violence he wanted to heist v1’s life

I think something cool would be that p-3 is like p-2 except for that like halfway into the level you hear tons of gun shots and explosions and then you hear a prime soul die and then when you get to where the prime soul would be, there's blood everywhere and a third machine (probably V3) and then it's ALWAYS got ur loadout (including having slabs and saws. also not having weapons you don't have equipped) and it will be even more cruel than everything else you've seen

Very cool video, apart from learning the suspects to be the p-3 boss, I learned a lot of mitology xD.

It easily relates to the 4 horsemen, with Minos's theme name being Order and with him reshaping the lust layer fits with him being conquest, and with Sisyphus being Sisyphus and his song name being War, I think the next has to do with death, but it could easily be famine as well. Its, like everyone has been saying, most likely Judas seeing as you said, he has commited fraud, violence, and treachery, but also brought about possibly the most important death in human history. The other potential candidates fits as well, but Judas seems to be the most likely, as well as going along with God thinking humans are failures in Ultrakill, seeing as Judas made the biggest mistake of all killing Christ. But thats just a theory, a GAME THEORY

I think Cain would be a good one, especially him being revealed in the Caina Layer, like minos, his corps is pretty much melted into the environment, acting as enviornmental hazards.

I love these predictions very excited to see what P-3 actually is

we may never know what kind of prime character we will see for act 3, or just P-3 in general, but all of these sound pretty cool to me, if i were to be honest

hey, there's another thing we don't know about the next prime sanctum, like do you have to fight enemies before the fight like P-2, and what color the boss would be, since it has been primary colors so far, I think it would be violet or indigo.

I don't think this will actually be it but I think it would be cool to see Cain AND Abel as the P-3 bossfight, like a 2v1 where you're fighting them both at the same time. Fighting two on one would be a crazy step up in difficulty too, so it would be cool to see.

Bit Abel is not a sinner at all in the genesis.Still, ULTRAKILL's narrative could project a different narrative and make it possible.

I've remembered of a fanmade of ''jesus prime''. Probably not going to happen (I think), but the design was awesome.

My personal pick for P-3 would be Odysseus, another mythical king of ancient Greece with quite a story and an extensive series of exploits, said to be held in the circle of fraud in Dante's inferno. I think he has decent odds with the pattern of mythical greek kings
