my theory about the "mechanical augmentations" is that, since hell is said to be somewhat "alive", i believe it was somewhat a reaction for when the machines started literally killing everybody in hell, it started using the dead machine parts to upgrades the husks in there, as if it was a natural reaction to being attacked

My personal belief is that hell wants the machines there, as it brings it new entertainment. I suspect that hell itself strategically placed the terminals throughout hell as well

Something I remember someone else making note of, why does nothing in hell have eyes? The virtues, bring attention to this in their description, the only husk verified to have eyes is Minos. Is there something down there that is too dangerous to look at?

Ferrymen are the only non-primal enemies, they've been proven to be able to build the literal Titanic, write with proper language, (ferryman's journal) and have proper combat attacks.

I'd like to think they were normal size prior to death. Think of it kinda like this, Insurrectionist were probably normal sized people, but their soul made their husk over 8 feet tall. Or how people who became Filth could've been 6'1, but do to low worth and value, they're like 5'3 as a husk.

They were regular human sized when alive as shown by Minos' prime soul and Sisyphus' skeleton in 4-4 but because Minos was remembered extensively after death by all inhabitants of hell (and fondly by all inhabitants of the Lust Layer), the husk that originated afterwards became massive representing his soul's sheer will and the impact he had made as a mortal. However his soul was taken out of his husk and imprisoned by the angels before he could become a threat to them, leaving only the husk's soulless body controlled by the snakes Minos once commanded, thus being known as The Corpse Of King Minos.

@@josuerodriguez8844 incorrect They were REGULAR SIZED on earth When they died and went to hell they became the largest husks in Hell and looked like giant humans (this is backed up by hakita comments) The terminal of Minos explains it weirdly but he was always that big in hell just like sisyphus (that also explains why Minos was given the judge of hell title and managed to build a functional city) ((something a regular sized human couldnt do)) Their bodies cant turn into husks when they are in hell because they had to be husks already to even be in Hell, Unless you think both sisyphus and minos entered Hell as humans randomly. So yes this means Gabriel took down 3 Giant beings so far (Minos,Sisy and Leviathan)

Those skeletons in limbo and lust confuse me still. How come they are able to write and have intelligence but are as big as a stray? Shouldn’t those skeletons be a tiny bit smaller sized ferryman? Does the size matter for the husk’s will?

they must be some sort of husk that just doesn't appear in game, maybe because their non-combatant nature makes them uninteresting for hell to spawn as enemies, so they don't exist as enemies but sorta just vibe in hell

My theory for the mechanical augumentations is that because we meet the soldier in lust meaning Minos would have added the mechanical parts to the soldier in order to make their suffering less bad, considering minos loved humanity and thought lust was not a sin (minos explored more in depth in other lore videos) TLDR: Minos probably added the parts to the soldier

Wait, so what would the difference between a soul and a husk be? Because we dont really see the husks themselves receiving the punishments, and none lf the husks have the intelligence to write the books that we see in the layers. Im assuming when a human dies, it splits off into both the soul and the husk? Dies anyone have any info on this?

I don't understand how this works, how was it posible to build a city in the list layer if all husks except for the ferryman, minos an sysiphus husks are just driven by primal Instincts?

I think that the "crescent moon" over a Ferryman's head is actually an attempt at building a makeshift halo. The halo just got broken or something.
