actually very comparable, i would have to do a closer comparison but i don't think you can go wrong with either except i think you can go to a larger size screen with this one

i like both, otouch has better built in audio and will be cheaper but this one is one of the better ones i've tested as well.

Hello. Great review. Do you know if: 1. Does this projector play from the USB port x265 10bit files? 2. Does It plays srt. subtitles with all European characters (like Ç, Á, Õ etc)?? 3. It's possible to change the subtitles size?

Rather than being worried if it does or does not, get a TV stick or TV box with android that DOES support your features. these days they are pretty cheap and for a projector THIS good but cheap it's worth it

But how do you clean black spots on the lens. Contacted ultimea, they say open dust can and clean in bottom. There is no dist cap. Its a sealed unit. Any ideas?

I was wondering the same here

Will putting this on a low couch table tilting it upwards compromise image quality significantly? The wall is too weak to mount and I have no room for a stand :(

probably yes, most projectors i've tested are best straight ahead or as close as you can get to that, but it just depends how much the angle is

Can you review the thundeal td98 in the future and compare this to the apollo p40 ? People keep saying that it's one of the brighest budget lcd projector with reasonable dark blacks

i might lean slightly towards ultimea but its pretty big compared to emotn n1 to be on a tripod, could work that way though

Please give reply for my comment brother… I buyed new pvo mini projector..first i connected with mobile through HDMI cable it’s working..next day Im doing same but in screen it’s asking some QR code picture and I can’t connect my phone with hdmi it’s asking some QR code picture and some circuit image

Nice review. It's one of the reasons I bought one myself. However, I am not totally satisfied with its focus. Our projector setup has it positioned perfectly parallel to the wall it projects onto. This setup has already proven to be effective with an Artlii Stone 1 projector before. Still, when using the Apollo P40 with it the left side of the projection is always blurry while the right side is as sharp as a kitchen knife. Nothing I tried in the past two days got rid of this. Other positions, angles, manual focus (only makes the rest more blurry, but doesn't get the left side any sharper) and even other projection surfaces. I suspect it's a minor misplacement of the lens that causes this. So, can anyone with this projector model please confirm that their projections are evenly sharp from left to right?

I'd love to play Zelda Tears of the Kingdom using my OLED. Does anyone know whether the lag is small enough that this is doable? Also, my mates and I would like to play 4 player Mario Kart - has anyone had any problems with this? Amazon reviews are mixed - a reviewer from Germany said on 10 April 2023: "everything went smoothly" for Mario Kart, but others say they don't recommend it for gaming. I'm not a competitive gamer but I don't want casual play with friends/on my own to be ruined. Connecting my switch to a friend's new TV caused some input problems in Zelda which I'd like to avoid (thankfully no problems in Mario Kart though). I'd love to hear about what you've all experienced - any feedback would be much appreciated!

Did You buy thus projector? If not I can say what I tested on yt videos, input lag is is like 59 ms - 70 ms max what makes it no problem for most games. Ps I Still don't have this projector yet but want to buy it for PS5 soon. Btw I already have other budget projector with much worse latency from 80 ms to 150 ms at worse and can win no problem in Fortnite Rocket racing so 60-70 its good.

Is there a screen option for pc or gaming for better input lag

After update it is game picture mode, it probably affecting iput lag I hope, wanna try this projector myself

I just bought it, but why mine is not like the same as yours? It's a lil bit laggy and it get pixelated it is disappointing 😢

Good morning! I was gifted an Apollo P40 projector. I immediately ran into a problem: when connected via a wireless projection of the display from Honor 20, the sound is delayed by about 0.5 seconds while watching video. Very annoying when watching videos. How can the problem be solved?

@@nightgardheal thanks. I need this for adventure games mostly, even input lag on projector like 50-70 ms is enough for me. Now I have 96 ms projector what is too bad fo most games😅

@@NextgenPL They couldn't give me an exact input lag. Though I manage to play casual games of BF2042 from my RTX. When the integrated graphic card is in use (like on the desktop and on the web, I have a strong input lag, but not when gaming when the RTX is working) On the PS4 its struggling a bit more. Though I can play Horizon games with plenty of dodge and fast aiming without isssue. I wouldn't play CoD for example.

Would you recommend this over the Philips NPX642? This is cheaper than the Ultimea in my region at this moment.

The only drawback is it only has 1 hdmi port. Other then that it’s very good but only having 1 hdmi port is no big deal.

I'm returning mine due to input lag. Cheaper happrun was better for gaming. Kinda pissed had high hope for it.

Hmmm... Most people doesn't complayin about inout lag, but maybe You try to play fast shooters lik COD then maybe is not enough.. anyway I didn't buy it Yet but consider to test it with A PS5...

@@fredreed2001 it should support hdr content and 4k, but it will be downloaded to 1080p since this is a 1080p projecter

Actually it does both HDR10 and 4K so you can tell other people that it does support both of them.

Ultimea Apollo P40 Received yesterday.. am very disappointed. It's bright, but fuzzy despite the automatic, whining an unbearable high tone, a hair on the display and two pixel errors, rainbow effect on the edge, no audio setting, only 60 min timer, never goes out on its own, nested settings, red color is more orange-red which cannot be changed, straight lines on the display tremble and cause interference, HDR is a joke... in the end the design is more of a dust collector.
