    T7 is the Hilux of Adventure Bikes. Super reliable, easy to get parts and accessories, comfortable to ride and solid resale. But for me, it just doesn't put a real 'smile on your dial' like others in the category.

    There’s something to be said for reliability. I think you hinted at it in the video, you wouldn’t buy a used adv bike from other brands with 20,000km on the clock but the t7 👍. Team orange, 20,000km is approaching new cams, valves, cylinder head. I’m still waiting to hear from KTM when they will arrive, bike sat at the dealership unused with five others with cam issues, similar age, waiting on parts.

    @MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV The WR has comparable suspension and I'd argue better from the factory then the KTM. Plus the tanks do what the KTM does, shifting the weight lower which is frankly what makes the KTM so brilliant. Anyone know an AUS dealer who'd be willing to order me the GYTR parts and ship them for me? We can buy them in the US.

    Yes I strongly agree. If I had my time again I would do a camel side tank. I have experience with rear tanks with my old KTM690 and it works a treat and keeps handling planted and minimises the balance of the bike considering the extra weight of fuel.

    In this bike category, I'd definitely go Norden Expedition, 890R, or Desert X before the T7. Considering the time you have had on the bikes mentioned, I'm surprised you like the T7 as much as you do.

  • @emilenossin5098

    @emilenossin5098

    6 ай бұрын

    Just transitioned from a R1200GSA to a T7 World Raid. I've considered the Norden, 890R, Desert X and Tiger RP as well. All of them are a LOT more expensive than the T7 World Raid, even considering the extra features the other bikes have. But the Norden was just too tiny for my 1.90m frame and the reliability issues with the Norden and 890R are just too much for me. I've had enough trauma with my Moto Guzzi to again go for unreliability. The Desert X is really cool, but just waaaay too expensive. I'm also guessing, not sure though, that's it's very expensive to maintain. I also don't like the combination of its tank volume combined with the much higher fuel consumption compared to the T7. The World Raid gives me serious range which I've come to appreciate on my R12GSA. So those were my contemplations with the T7 WR. Bullet proof reliability, big tank, great suspension, made for tall Europeans (which I actually expected on the KTM/Husqy, the opposite was true), much better looks, very low fuel consumption, easy and cheap to maintain, cheap to buy and an extremely large collection of aftermarket goodies.

    Awesome video ! I have a BMW R1250GSA Touratech World Travel Edition (great bike, perfect for very convient long distances, but too heavy for solo offroad) , a Husky 701 (perfect for real offroad, but not for long distances on road) and now a T7 from 2023...I bought the T7 used, for an insane good price.... 8000EUR= 13.500 AUD. and brought it to TOuratech HQ (only 160km far away from me ) for shocks and suspension.... this is the " egg -laying of all trades" .. I am very happy with it.... btw: you have to come to Europe for ACT (AdventureCoutryTrack) and TET (TransEuroTrail).... insane great landscape and tracks ! cheers from Germany

    as us in the uk have had the world raid for a long time. with out a doubt its the best T7 i think you need the lower crash bars on it because the lower panel always gets smashed and the raid stock crash bar does as well. i have both and own one of the first T7 and its fully sorted and is the one i use because it will take a big crash better in my opinion, and one press to take abs off . wheel on the raid is a pain. the world raid is less top heavy and has great weather protection for the rider, and suspension is up to the job. i think the price is to high now yamaha are taking the piss. for all the T7. buy a used one then yamaha mite wake up and drop the price.

    5:09 "How much does it weigh?" There's a quote I saw on r/motorcycles, probably butchering it, but it's to this effect: "The guy that inows how much their bike weighs, is the guy that doesn't ride it." Whether you want to take that as: "Once you get rolling it doesn't matter, doesit?" or "If I was just moving around the garage and not riding I'd be bothered to know how much it weighed innit right?" Is up to you, I choose to interpret it as; if you care how much your bike weighs, it's not being used (to it's full potential) and just being pushed around in a garage. As that's the only time weight matters.

    Hi Dave and Clubby. Still waiting on a World Raid for USA. Breathing good, no holding. Farkles, Dave yours's is a lot like mine. I have about 12k USA in mine, hell maybe more. Ohlins front rear, Sargent heated seat, Machined Hahn hubs, tubeless heavy duty aluminum wheels, Excel. Internal short exhaust. Acerbis tank. I like Clubby's bags. A. Reidman has those too. I like a throw over the saddle set of bags for off roading. I got the factory hard bags but have never mounted them. Changed bars, rear brake lever, brake lines, grips, Oxford heated grips, lots other stuff. Print some cash. I had to source this stuff from all over the world. waited months for my Ohlins to be built for me. Off-the-Road and motoin Giant Loop, Greatest cash cow ever, also my motorcycle like I wanted, made for me. Good job guys. Be safe. Look forward to more vids. Snow, yeah, it's that time of year.
