Here in the Balkans/Eastern Europe (and ofc Turkey), we're used to the taste of organ meat so this is generally quite good, I really love kokorec. If you try "drob" (which is like romanian haggis) it tastes similar. That Iskender looked amazing, it's my favorite kebab and that butter must make it even better. Just need to try the kunefe(especially in a traditional place like Hafiz Mustafa which is very close to Blue Mosque) and all the borek types and maybe something like maklube, çoban kavurma
Right, döner is the way the meat is prepared on that rotating thing! That bread looks so soft and fresh. That is excellent quality street food.

The first baklava that you tried was called “Kadayıf tatlısı” and it is not considered baklava, just a dessert with sugar syrup and walnuts or pistachios. They cook some kind of waffle/pancake mixture on big pans to make this noodle texture, it is called “kadayıf”. When kadayıf is cooked and dried, they shape it and put syrup and walnuts. On the other hand we need very very thin layers of pastry to make baklava, at least 40 layers they say. After baklava is cooked in oven, they put sugar syrup on it, too. Similar tastes with diferent texturest like you guessed. Thank you very much for your vlog :) Note: Our pistachios are not Italian, it comes from Gaziantep, we call it “Antep fıstığı” 😂 And you need to run for at least 30 minutes to burn calories from 1 piece of baklava. 🤣

Ah, I just ate before watching this amazing food review video, I didn't even check the title of the video before I clicked it, well, what's done is done, but man I envy you guys right now, a Good Shawarma and Koftas and ending with Baklawas, yum yum, The first Baklawa you guys ate was made with Vermicelli, the second one is made with Phyllo dough and the third one with Patties (The one with Layers), and yes Baklawa should be made with Honey, traditionally at least. Some Mici is made with intestines in its ingredients, thetas why I am always afraid of eating Mici from street vendors, its prone to get stale. I almost Jumped at my screen and grabbed the plate of Iskender Kebab off of your table, mmmm. You guys really spoiled your selves today. Enough said, I will have another Egg sandwich now 😭. I wish you guys many many more Turkish treats and delights. stay Safe and Healthy.

Yes, baklavas outside Turkey or not from Turkish restaurants, don't taste the same

Karadeniz doner is a good choice. Whenever I go Turkey, I try to stop there. Try to go Sultanahmet Koftecisi. Just can’t believe you put red pepper chili on iskender ruined the food.

Let me tell you something funny about iskender kebap in Turkey. Once upon a time there were a iskender restaurant in İstanbul and the restaurant manager ordered an english menu for the tourist customers from the printing house. . Unfortunately, the worker who didnt know english translate "karisik iskender" as --> "confused alexander" 😅😅😅😅 The actual translation must be " mixed alexander" but the "karisik" has two meaning in Turkish. One of them is "mix" which is exact word the restaurant. On the other hand, karisik also means being mentally depressed, unclear.. That is why they chose to call mistakenly "confuse" as adjective of karisik iskender. Whenever I remember I laugh !! LOL
The first cake is called KADAIF. You could try it in Niš also. Greetings from Niš

Most people, especially kebab purists, don't like to have sauce with their kebabs in Turkiye. When you add sauce to kebab it dominates the taste. Just vegetables (typically onions, tomatoes, and green peppers) and spices should be more than enough. Simply, the meat should be the star of a kebab. Also, people tend to think that you are trying the hide the defects of the meat and the shortcomings of the chef by adding sauce. Personally, when I eat doner I avoid sauces and fries. You may have fries on the side if you like it, but it shouldn't be in the wrap/bread. All the best.
