One trick I have found for fighting cave spiders early is to use walls. They can't pass through a 1 block wide opening. They will try to get to you and then run away if they can't.

With all the new content and the major update, i think its about time for updated guides. I just recently got the game but i love summoning builds.

When fighting Bosses.... I put a stone path way down... can make one big Square... lets you move around a bit quicker

i like the blood bolt as well and upgrade from it as well not a summon but works nice.

Thanks for the video, helped me get all the way to the final boss, sadly I wasn't able to defeat him even with all the buffs in items food and potions maxed. After a few tries I decided to move forward with another character

Lol for the first boss, I just used a full set of copper, movement speed potion and Bow with Fire Arrows for the DoT. If no one knew, you can also command your settlers to follow you into battle against the first boss. Just be sure to give them some decent armor or swap their weapons for ranged ones. They can help defeat the minions while you spam arrows on the boss.

@iampanda8804 well good news is you should have plenty of cave spider glands. You can craft it with 12 of them at a workstation

Just started, I used the boat, poison arrows and magic to kill the 1st boss pretty easily.

Does anyone know what exactly Summon Speed stat and buff provides, does it make the summons attack and move faster or does it buff how fast it takes to summon units?

It's how fast they run. It makes them keep up with the enemy better. It's better for fast enemies and bosses

How did you get the 3 summons for the Cave Spider Queen fight? I only have 2 and am struggling

1 summon with staff, 1 with spider headpiece and another with set bonus for full spider set

What's the keybind for dash charges idk if I'm pressing the wrong button or it doesn't work for me

Dashing is by having the force of wind trinket equipped. Then it's just space bar.

you can use any weapon as well as having your summons

Absolutely correct. If you are using a specific foci they will be nerfed in damage. Also some users like playing as a sole class :)

Unfortunately not. Its one or the other.

I am curious, why the Retribution Shell? Just for the armour? With it not being on your active ability trinket, you can't use the block and the dot doesn't seem that amazing

This guides a little out dated but it was due to the armor bonus and damage over time. I'd sub it out now for bone hilt. At the time shields weren't an active trinket and this was one of the only shields in game.

It depends on the summons you are using and the boss. for a speedy boss, use athletic summons so that they keep up. for a slower boss use Savage summons so that they deal faster damage.

I believe the spider set gives +2 summons +1 on the helm and +1 for set bonus from memory. :)

which item give you all the flagg passive because you dont have a flagg or something in your hand

If its around the time of the boss fights it's due to having all 4 banners placed on a banner stand and within proximity you will be boosted

You also need the spider staff which can be crafted with more of the spider glands

Mage got updated recently and now uses mana. Id say its one of the most powerful classes now. Ive just been on a break and havent made videos recently due to becoming a dad :)

you skippe dhow you got 3 snowmen. im at pirate captain and dont know how to get a fourth and hes kicking my ass melee and 10/10 guides for pirate captain is summon related

full spider set gives +2 summons (+1 from helmet and +1 from set bonus) so youll get 3 in total, then for a fourth you can use a summoning potion that gives you +1 more for a total of 4. You get a similar set bonus for the Ivy outfit with the circlet helm piece and for the fourth I would have just had a mesmer tablet trinket found in void dungeon chests.

summoner probs most broken class tbh, imagine using a greatsword against bosses like icequeen lmao, i tried stacking as much dmg buffs as possible and still didnt clear 1kdmg in a single slash with greatsword max charged when summoners can do that much in a few seconds
