Thanks Dieter! your videos of inspiration to get out of the couch and finish that little project gets postponed by that amazing Guitarist and instead I just grab another pilsner and enjoy the show

Fantastic build and video. Much fancier than what I want to build but tons of good pointers and ideas, as always. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice framing and really inspiring! That roof construction seems risky though for vapour management and condensation. Water vapour will move from the inside up through the ceiling, through that insulation and then condense on the sheathing as it will be a cold surface. Moist air always finds a way, it's just a case of managing where the moment occurs that the moist air condenses. Those rafters will be cold as well as they bridge the cold sheathing all the way to the internal ceiling boards. Maybe in your climate it's less of a concern?

Thanks. The membrane is diffusion open, and there is a air gap between the final roofing. Cold bridges are unavoidable, unless it's a passive house. The first layer of sheathing also breaks the cold bridges a little. It might not be clear in the video. This is the recomended way to do it (Norwegian building codes). We have a very cold climate.

Was this the one that was over built? Do you want critique? Thanks for filming your work.

What is the material cost for this?
