Thank you for watching! Drying is key to a shine….particularly in that part from the video. Very hard water stains without doing so.

Thanks for the informative video. Have you tried to inspect the sealant around the mounting points of the air conditioner? I haven't heard anyone discuss if this could be an area for a possible roof leak.

Thanks for the vid. Couple things I noticed: 1) it looks like the stack vent covers are upside down - I think the dome goes up; 2) I absolutely DO NOT recommend using anything but a solid 6' step ladder to get onto the roof. And turn it towards the trailer, not sideways. The way you did it is like asking for the ladder to flip away while transitioning onto the roof. Just be careful, everyone! Love your Airstream.. we have a brand new Bambi, and learning everything about it, including cleaning and maintenance. Thanks again!

Thanks for the note! For sure this is not the safest way to climb up. It’s all iI had at the moment. I’ts pretty rare that I climb up there. I usually just use the ladder to clean the solar panels without climbing up. The stack covers on this model are correct (I work for Airstream). Always happy to help should you need it. Great informative video! Simple, easy to follow maintenance tips that many people might overlook but it helps keep the rig looking great. I'm gonna have to get some of that Aero Washall to try on my rig. One trivial I'd like to note: Be careful when opening the rock guards to clean the windows. When opened fully, the frame can press back against the skin causing a slight crease or dent in the skin. Both my '96 and '03 rigs have some slight dents (previous owners). Keep up the great videos!

Excellent video on Airstream preventative maintenance. I too am very fastidious about my maintenance program. However, one area I failed miserably in was cleaning behind the rock guards. After 17 years, I had some extra time and decided to open them up and take a look. Needless to say, they were worse than yours...

My rock guards have 7/16” acorns on the 1/4” studs; not 1/2”? Does it look like the cap on your shower plumbing vent was accidentally installed upside down; concave up rather than convex facing up? Enjoyed the video!

Thanks for the note. I cant specifically recall what I used or said in the video. I recorded this back in early December. The acorn nuts are all pretty generic for the ones made in the last few years. The shower vent is correct. I call them the white flowers because they look like a flower. There is no way to turn them around.

Brad, what’s your opinion on the Nano Cure Ceramic coating? It’s an adder at the dealer on delivery but Walbernize it like you said and the Aero Wash Wax seem fine. Thanks For all your videos

Hi Rick! Thanks for reaching out and an opportunity for input. I do like the ceramic coating provided by Vinnies Airstream in California and recently Florida. I dont know what the dealer you mentioned is offering. Ive seen some dealers use Ultimar Wax coating which is good for 5 years. Ive just waxed my trailer every six months and have had no issues. I would do the ceramic coating for a trailer that I planned to keep forever but Im not quite there yet. This is our 4th in 7 years and we are looking at another right now!
