Post Notes: - All 6 of my Cameron Sino batteries were purchased off Amazon US from the same seller - OSTENT out of the box will have an extremely tight fit, just make sure its lined up, and give it a good hard press to pop them in - 20:47 is where you will find the answer to something no one thought to ask, and it's massive discovery that deserves a bit more research! - I didn't talk about pricing as most of these hover around the same price - BMS Images will be edited & uploaded once I get some sleep. - According to one other person's 1800 Cameron Sino, the "Good" black PCB one might be the one advertised for the phat models only - End Screen Fail The Promised Records: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vemXNVact5ftftxo81HfBz3q3H0IFF04TG89z6DVXFs/edit?usp=sharing Discord: discordapp.com/invite/5bsGzq7

Wow Man! The effort you put into this whole video, the editing, the research, the money.... seriously no words to thank you, this is a video I didn't know I needed to see as a psp enthusiast. I've dabbled in a lot of fake original batteries and just made my peace with getting 1-2 hrs battery life with sudden shutdowns. now i see that is not the case, the ostent's sounds so amazing, 5 hrs with the psp 3k seemed unimaginable in this era. Thank you again for doing all this and keeping us updated and informed. I can see these videos take a toll on you because you do them with perfection and that takes a lot of time, effort and money... just gonna say that we the psp community really do appreciate it!

thanx a lot for the comparison! i found the cellonic batterys ( in europe) to be okay so far, even though they re slightly larger then the orignals ( psp 1000). (tight fit)
i had thought im so lucky to have my almost 20 years old original 1000 battery still holding for 4 hours as i thought chinese batteries are garbage until i watched your video. thank you man, now i know that there is still something that will be even a better replacement of my battery and i dont have to worry about saving it
Yes I am using both Ostent 1400 mAh and 2200 mAh in my PSPs and they are the best
This is amazing, this problem was in back of my mind for so long. I was very hesitant getting back into actual PSP console because of battery issues.
Thank you so much for all the effort you put into this. There are few people passionate enough to do this level of in-septh testing.
Finally someone made a video about the psp batterys options. Thank you for that!

Thank you, I'm just hoping that it gets the views it deserves, the power efficiency info is something I'm answering for the first time on the internet.
Bro, you are doing gods work here by testing all these batteries! Just bought two Ostents right after watching this, one for my 1000 and another for my 3000. They will be replacing my old original Sony batteries which, due to age alone, have constantly made me nervous of the inevitable day they would get "spicy" as you call it lol. I don't want any batteries expanding or exploding inside my PSP's. Any other PSP I get from here on out will be equipped with a Ostent.
Man, I've been waiting for this video since you put the survey on the channel, I felt bad about the batteries sacrificed for the investigation especially because in my country they are difficult to get (some cannot be shipped or the shipping costs are too high). I loved the video, excellent work
Excellent review of the PSP batteries in the market.
Amazing video, thanks for the great work!
Thanks a lot for your work. Was thinking about re-celling my original PSP phat battery. I will just buy an Ostent then (along with an the mat IPS screen you recommended in your other video). Suscribed!

Epic xD
Great video! It took me until just now to say "yeah I'm interested, I'll watch it" instead of passing it over; that does tend to happen where you're just not quite interested in a specific video you're seeing quite yet (even if the subject matter does generally interest you) and then you're in the mood later. I love the extremely comprehensive, almost obsessive videos that get way into the nitty-gritty details of everything; I'm all for that stuff. Love having this big database of battery information here. I definitely will want to look into the PSP-1000 size battery + an expanded battery cover fitting the 3000. Also good to see those external PSP battery chargers -- it absolutely sucks to use the original charger on my PSP because it doesn't work half the time (bad connector on the charger itself) and nothing uses the mini-USB on top of the PSP anymore. Charging with USB Mode is slow, but at the same time I don't want to use the OEM AC adapter because A: mine is bad, and B: we've really moved on from proprietary charging at this point as a society. It appears since I bought my PSP-3000 new in box really late, like in 2012-2014 or so, I have the exact same TA-095v2 as you (but Piano Black), and I've never really been disappointed in the battery life of mine with the stock battery. The relative newness of my battery and it being the most power-efficient PSP-3000 model is probably why. Plus if I'm not going to use it for a while, I try to charge to a bit over 80% before storing it outside of the console, which is usually what's recommended for storage and it doesn't tend to be dead when I next intend to use my PSP.
@TotalKommando

I feel you with that first one lol I got a solderless type-c mod that shows you how to get a perfect cut out, and can be adapted for a soldered method.

Insane amount of work went into making this video, I can tell. Man, I've been buying onsent as it just felt better/more consistent than CameronSino and here now I have the data to back it up.
Thank you so much for this!!
It's cool to know that the new screens are actually more power efficient, despite the common misconception in the community. Makes the choice of switching over a no-brainer. Now we wait for the new panels for the 2000 and 3000 models (and maybe the GO, but I think it has the perfect screen as it is).
@TotalKommando
16 күн бұрын
I agree, the GO is probably as good as its ever going to get, and the screen form factor makes it harder to develop a custom screen for. One day man, we can just hope to get an OLED for n a slim, that will be something
So glad I stumbled across this video, now I can get some actually good batteries. Also in the future, if a battery gets punctured and catches on fire/explodes, you want a bucket or pot of sand, its the best and safest way to contain a small battery fire.
@TotalKommando

This is what I've been waiting for :D I have a similar experience, but I tested the batteries differently. First I discharged to the end, then while charging I read the current drawn, taking into account charging losses/efficiency. Scam of course I returned, especially since I order a minimum of 10 each :)
You are best, amazing video thanks!!!
👌🏼 perfect, thank you !
Can you believe bro that just these days I'm starting to get these consoles for collection?… And your video fits me perfectly. 🤩 I know there probably aren't many of us, but a video of you showing how to replace the batteries on the street version would be great. 😃

Thank you so much for such thorough research! This topic was never getting enough coverage. Holy Crap you are doing amazing work here. I got a reasonably good battery off Amazon that seemed to have good reviews about a year ago, however it is now out of stock and not sold anywhere I can find anymore. The one thing I wish is someone would clone the PCB of the OG batteries as the other issue that's annoying when tinkering with the PSP is you cannot charge any of the replacement batteries over USB.

Great video!! I'm gonna buy the ostent batteries for my 1000 and 2000 models. I have the original ones for both of them but i'm going to maintain the 1000 model as long as i can just for use for unbricking tools. I've only done tests using the 1000 model battery on the 2000 model before and it was a great difference in time. Another thing i noticed is that probably the pcb on the original ones has the components used for the pandora battery. I can be wrong for lots of reasons because there are pandora kits available and i don't think that they are all made from original battery pcb's.
@TotalKommando

@@pocketreviewgaming If you got a photo, share it on discord, i think its not clipped in all the way, its sometimes super stiff and looks and feels like its all the way in but its not, give it an extra hard push at the top to seat it in more

@@TotalKommandothanks
what are the very first words that you say in this video?
i really hate distracting expressive hands in videos 0:52 when you just point over and over and over and over and over again at the screen to emphasize nothing. I couldn't make it much further than this. i at least thank you for giving the information up front so i wouldnt have to suffer through your magician practice or whatever is happening
