Great video! I am not a fan of perpetual calendars because they are expensive, a pain to set, and costly to service. Simple is best for me. 😊

Patek 🔥🙌🏽 Simple, elegant, perfect in every way. It’s crazy how even if the Nautilus had a more detailed moon like the AP imo it would ruin the simplicity, Again in my opinion.

Great episode. Patek has increased the retail price of the 5740 from around 105k € to 150 € in the last five years. Doesn’t seem motivated with such massive price hikes! Same with the AP and Vacheron?

I think the RO perpetual has probably seen a larger price increase over the period. Not sure about VC, didn't track it back in the day

VC Overseas wins hands down 👌….Patek is nr 2 AP is not part of Holy Trinity anymore……Lange took its place 👍

Nice review. Id argue that the 5740 should take the cake as the winner given how reasonable the premium is. Vacheron missed its chance to make its mark and I doubt it will get it ever again. Regardless, non bundlers should rejoice At the opportunity of scoring one of the best pieces in the market at such good prices.

6:18 i would love to know a skeletonized VS full rotor would impact the winding effiency.

More weight probably means more efficient winding. But the different I'd imagine is pretty negligible

I would loose my sht over those reliability issues. Thats why people end up with a rolex. Its generally ugly but it works and easy to resell.

Which is easiest to set/adjust? The nautilus has a 24 hour indicator so you know where your at for adjustment.

how do you find out what the "real transacted prices" are for some of these rarer models with high asking prices?

Talking to watch dealers and other collectors. There are also ballpark ways to do it, like subtracting a set % from chrono24 asking prices, or adding margin on a dealer's offered take-in price

Didn't know Lange had a perpetual calendar sports watch

AP has the worst reliability…..AP is famous for its issues with movement, date , pushers/crown. I had the worst experience with my AP watches….never touching that garbage brand again……also AP service department is are liars and tries to fix more than it’s needed to cash in more 👍

AP design is nice but horrible Quality with a LOT of issues

Before I even watch the video I know that all 3 have durability problems … don’t hear the same about Rolex or omega

Rolex doesn’t even make a perpetual calendar so you can’t compare the two
