As a lifelong console gamer and complete newbie to mods etc just wanted to say thanks! Just got a steam deck and wanted to give this a go and have just got it working - thanks for explaining it so clearly!

Replaying Oblivion on the Deck is in the backlog, and I will definitely be coming back to this video tutorial for the full setup. Thanks!

If anyone is getting low sensitivity, change the right joystick option to joystick mouse instead of joystick

followed this to a T and still have the oblivion load screens but the UI in the game has the little time and date icon from skyrim

@@kingsalami217 it is! I had the same issue as some others, but I copied the OBSE folder into the Data folder and it’s great!

Fully off topic but does anyone know the games in the intro clip? Some of them looked really cool

Thanks for the tutorial. I got the vanilla oblivion northern ui to work with the buttons showing by setting the controller layout to game pad with joystick just like you did in this video and it works perfectly.

Try putting the sky OBSE folder in the data folder as well as the oblivion folder. Once the northern ui is working If you look later into the video I turn the sensitivity up

Appreciate the content! I’ve tried the install a couple of times now, but right at the opening screen step shown at 8:40 I can’t tap “Play” on the screen or seemingly interact with that menu beyond moving the mouse pointer around. Seem stuck. Suggestions?

Try holding the steam button and using the the right track pad and clicking it it

Yes there might be a space or something but it should work

Followed every step to the T, but only partly worked for me. I have the NorthernUI clock, but the rest of the UI / inventory is just normal oblivion - any ideas?

Put the northern ui folder in both data and the oblivion folder and try that

The mod or the game not loading up? If you’re having issues copy the OBSE folder into the data folder

Worked for me just no skyrim style menus but it'll do i guess.

Well that’s a new one and weird! Hmm is that in game or at the main menu? Also I know this sounds dumb but reboot you SD and try again and if it’s still doing I wonder if you could increase your sensitivity from steam controller settings and see if that would do the job. Instead of the in game sensitivity

@@kingsalami217 I ended up getting it working by editing the X and Y with the text file. It was buried deep in the following folder. I changed it from 1.0 to 3.5 for X, and 3.0 for Y home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/ compdata/22330/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/ Documents/My Games/Oblivion/NorthernUl.ctrl.tvt
