G-Sync reduces latency actually in some scenarios and makes games feel a lot better, especially when you cap in-game FPS using application controlled settings

@@coachextrapass I would recommend going with whatever feels best for you. G-sync overall feels very smooth and fluid so I like it for certain games that I play where I know my fps lows will be minimally my framerate. If you aren't getting consistently over 280hz, it might not be worth it but if you are, I def suggest giving it a shot. I personally like it a lot with Halo Infinite. One of the cases I mentioned where it improves latency is where you would cap game framerate in nvidia control panel and use fixed refresh option. This could actually hinder performance with unnecessary latency

bro thank you so much,evertime I open fortnite with stress ress my monitor switches to 60 hz now im on 165hz

some monitors have extreme ghosting at maximum hz, like my acer 390hz, as if the monitor can't keep up. I then made a user-specific resolution in nvidia, decreased the hz to 340 and increased the vt from 1100 to 1340. ghosting is gone and the picture is sharper when turning around quickly. Even then you notice a slightly increased latency just because of 50hz, but you get used to it. You just have to find the middle ground

I'm using overclocking on and set overdrive to 80 and use the adaptive sync, this help a lot with blur for games where my fps is considerably lower than max refresh rate.

Yo bro I got a question. So when I play fortnite for example I have consistent 240 fps which I expect from my hardware (RTX 3070, ryzen 7 5800x3d) but it just doesnt feel like 240fps it feels so choppy and unclean basically it feels like every second it drops to like 120 fps. But as I mentioned before I got consistent 240. When I turn on vsync tho the problem disappears. Every move I make with my mosue feels clean. Do you have an idea what the issue could be?

same issue with different specs. only really for fortnite. if it ever feels choppy like that try using your built in monitor settings and find reset settings. it worked for me idk abt u.

Hi men for ps5 vrr of?

I get noticeable ghosting on warzone 120-140fps and on 240-280hz asustuf on 3060ti and the only thing that helps with the blur is the gsync compatible adaptive sync option on monitor. I don't have this issue on other games where I get higher fps closer to my 280hz refresh rate.

My apex legends has problems blurring / ghosting. Then I hope on rocket league and it literally looks and runs 10/10. I don't get it haha

After doing all this it still has decimals behind it smh(Edited: it help my input lag immediately in warzone though!! So as of right now I will say this actually works.

Yes, I rock an asus monitor and setting HDR on with the freesync premium disabled drastically improved my input lag thus better reaction time and smoother tracking with weapons

do you have a 360hz monitor or are you overclocking? if it turns red when you enter 360hz try going down to extension block, display 2.0, then create a new res with your desired hz. DONT PASS YOUR MONITOR’S LIMIT. if your monitor has 165 hz don’t go for 240. you will just fry it. stay at whatever your monitor is.
