That's a mighty fine chop station ya got there. I like that stop block track system, clean and simple. I think a nice addition would be to inlay a ruler on each side, one that reads left to right and one that reads right to left. Because even with all that storage, you know damn well you're gonna find yourself searching for that tape measure that likes to always disappear.

I love the grain and edge detail you paid attention to for your cabinets. I'm always blown away by woodworkers on KZread ignoring details like that. For your dust collection though I can't help but feel like you would have way more success in terms of overall dust capture if you brought the dust collection in from the top since your current design is fighting the natural upward flow of the miter saw's dust port.

i love this so much! This dude is the perfect mixture of Patriot, Craftsman, Idiot, Genius and lovable person. I can tell the dude knows what he´s doing, but things like building doors too big and then sanding them down until they fit seems like implementing extra steps to use more tools, because it´s more fun. I always just used to buid them to size.

great video and a really cool setup. I actually think the curved piece might be hurting your dust collection, I know its to keep the airflow close to the saw, but i think its also acting as a deflector guiding the chips up and away from the vacuum ports before the suction can slow them down. if you just had the square box with the downdraft the chips wouldn't have such an easy path out and many would hit the back top, slowing them down and letting the suction grab hold

Just stumbled on your channel, love it so far. I would recommend a face plate for the dust box, cut out just enough that your saw comes through it freely (use cardboard for an easy template). The better enclosed that box is, the more suction you will have for the dust to be pulled in.

I like how you just knocked this up. My sister trained as a furniture maker, she would never be able to do this! And the attention to detail shows how passionate you are, few people would build something like this for their workshop!

You look into the Makita sliding miter saws? They’ve got small profiles for a sliding saw.

Finally someone who recognizes the value of a sliding miter saw. I swear the amount of people on here with million dollar workshops and a basic bitch miter saw.

Great project. Did you use the sanded pine plywood from Home Depot? Alot of You Tubers use PureBond but I can't get that where I live.
