I like that part too. I kinda wish that's how it was through the actual gameplay. To me it means that while he was killing the lady, there was a struggle. Hence why he comes out of the house without a coat, and his shirt partially untucked.

I just love the fact that Micah Bell’s voice actor is the same guy who voiced Dr. Harlan Fontaine in L.A. Noire - this is such a great thing, that actor is terrific!

Micah is one of the most important characters in the game for sure. The trinity of Arthur, Dutch and Micah and the psychological battle that wages between them is what really pushes Arthur's side of the story forward. It's not insignificant that when we first take control of Arthur the two characters accompanying him are Dutch and Micah. And then again at the end of Arthur's story, we come back full circle with Arthur's death and the two characters accompanying him are once again Dutch and Micah.

That “you talked” from Arthur was the ammo he was so waiting for on Micah, you could tell the happiness in his voice😂😂

I initially hated Micah on my first play-through, but there is something about how Peter Blomquist plays him that is just so much fun. He's like the ultimate, perfect scary western villain. Like, everyone is a Western Movie archetype, and then you have Micah who stumbled out of the Blood Meridian. (I also love how chilling first appearance is and I always thought his death scene was really cool)

I have a theory that Micah wasn't just the rat, even at the end. When they returned from Guarma Molly was interrogated, but said nothing, Micah was then caught and in order to get out of the situation (probably being surrounded by Pinkertons) alive, gave some information away (I'm not sure what), however, he stopped there. Abigail continued since the beginning of chapter 3 to rat out the gang, including in chapter 6, leading to the demise of the gang, and ultimately her, John and Jack's survival. I had this idea because why would Micah "reckon there's a rat" and speak about it to Dutch if he was THE rat, so I think he found out somehow the pinkertons had info he didn't give them and so concluded there was someone else ratting on the gang, then he used this to also try to find out with Dutch who the other traitor was and be able to put all the blame (despite him giving out some info too) on the other rat (who like I said I believe was Abigail). Now I know I didn't go into much detail, but this was more like brainstorming on some ideas and details I noticed; also sorry if it's a bit confusing.

He also spoke with Bill and Javier about the rat - which leads to Javier becoming hostile as loyalty matters most to him and Bill gets also paranoid (and becomes a funny gang-detective trying to figure out who it is). Through making all the gunmens paranoid and dividing them he got closer to disappear with Dutch or just the money. Like Micah said he is a "surrivor" - after Guarma he had to rat them out to surrive - and then he used this further to divide the gang to get the money - because there "is only losing and winning" and he plays all cards he had.

I'm sure there is plenty to point at Micah being the rat and certainly the general audience WANTS Micah to be the rat, but I always found it interesting that he never once flat out states that he was. For how the game likes to show how obvious a villain and antagonist he is, they leave that just a little bit open. I sort of like the headcannon that Micah being the rat is a red-herring and that Abigail was the real informant (not because I think she's bad, if anything she would have what I would call good justification to do so, plus its more dramatic on the overall story). I also had this thought about how if Micah was the rat, based on Milton's timeline he presents, Micah gets picked up by the pinkys after Guarma and allegedly agrees to rat, but then is soon afterward part of several shootouts where he first hand kills tons of agents and takes part in Cornwalls death. You'd think after that they would maybe do something about him since he was more of a liability than a help at that point

Micah is an evil genius It all went to plan Dutch, Bill and Javier went crazy because of the lies he was feeding them. He told them there is a rat and kept sneaking lies into Dutch's ear turning him against Arthur and John slowly. He was already turned against John when he left John for dead but I think he only turned against Arthur during the standoff personally. I don't think Micah was the rat by intention. He loves the outlaw life. He takes pleasure in killing and robbing. He wants to stick with Dutch and the gang. In the camp activity coach robbery during Chapter 4, Micah specifies he likes them boys. Plus, he seems to get Arthur on his side and admire him during the start of the game but only teases him in a harmless way which just gets on Arthur's nerves. Micah was loyal to the gang cuz he liked them. Milton said they picked him up AFTER they came back from the Caribbean. They probably beat him, kicked him, tortured him and threatened him to turn Dutch in or else he'd die in the crossfire. "I'm a survivor, black lung. A survivor. That's all there is. Living and dying." Micah was smart. He played them all. He knew the gang's cover was blown. They pushed things too far. There's no out. The pinkertons will come after them. So he blew their cover even more and more by turning Dutch crazy and getting them to do crazy things. Things that would blow their cover further. So Dutch gets handed in, the rest probably get killed or arrested, while Micah slips away having done his job after being promised an out just like Arthur was during the fishing trip with Jack. He's out for himself. Surviving is winning to him. Back when the gang was in their prime, they WERE surviving. In Chapter 6, they barely lasted a month. And wouldn't have even without the ratting. Their cover was too blown. Micah finally did what he had to do to get the pinkertons off of HIS back. If he slipped away and left the gang, they'd find him just like they found Strauss and hanged him for his crimes cuz he's was already a hard-boiled cold wanted outlaw. They only gave him their word that he'd not swing if he ratted them out for them. This is exactly why Micah is suddenly antagonistic to Arthur and John when before he was just an annoying jerk. Not scary at all. John and Arthur were the only ones who saw right through Micah, his lies and Dutch going crazy and COULD stand up to them. The rest fled or weren't brave enough or weren't powerful enough as Arthur and John to stand up. Grimshaw was just blindly loyal to Dutch clinging on hoping that he would change. Keep in mind, she ONLY turned against Micah in the stand-off. Not Dutch. And she got shot off before she could continue to take part in the stand-off. Micah turned into an antagonist after Chapter 5. I really don't believe he was the rat from the start.

I wonder if Micah Bell was actually scared when he was in that jail in strawberry or if he was just trying to guilt trip Arthur into befriending him, Because we can even see him cursing everyone out in the town while he's stuck in the prison, showing little signs of being afraid of dying up until he sees Arthur. Its weird because in the epilogue this changes when he is shot by Dutch in a fatal area, He steps back but seems to be very unconcerned about his Certain demise.

I think he definitely didn't want to die in strawberry and anger was a by product of the fear. His anxiety about Arthur potentially leaving him I imagine was very real lol. At the end of the game it was a mix of shock (not expecting Dutch to shoot him) and then acceptance.

Okay, I'll admit I kinda liked Micah at the start. I always liked asshole characters. I thought he was a charismatic, crazy, asshole sonuvabitch that one character any game would have when there's a group of people sticking to one another. Chapter 6 is when I really got around to despising him.
