It is truly amazing the athletes that have come out of Iceland. Thanks for sharing all this with us, Matt. I cannot even begin to imagine what it is like to put one's hands on such history. I have 150 year old bricks from an old store in Missoula, MT they recently razed that I used to go to when I lived in Montana. They gave the bricks away so I got two. Totally different, I know. But to touch history is something amazing, I think. To touch something with the history and the story behind it. Wow. 😊

I've taken to lifting every stone I can see here in South Florida. It sucks that there is little to no Stone Culture in the states, to me it's the most pure test of strength you can have. Can't wait to get the funds up to go do some stones in Europe

Yeah i'm in Iowa and love wrestling rocks! Also looking forward to going over seas and play with the stones.

living in the UK I feel really inspired to train and get up to Scotland as I know they have a stone culture there too (probably historically related) and get a stone or two under my belt. any famous stones you recommend?

Mark Williams I live up Aberdeen way and was planning to hit the dinnie stanes and the inver stone during the summer. You could send me a message if you're up this way at some point.

Petur was the AD for the Masters World Championships. Great man to meet and his family did a lot to make the games what they were. I can't wait to go back

There is a different name for everystone you can lift in island, weak, full strenght ect. The highest is fullsterkur. People should be able to tatto that in Islqnd only with proof of lifthing this stone

Lot of strongman will fail on this kind of event..only the top three.
