I did a 165 strict curl for reps before. Coach Greg’s pre-workout really did help a lot. I also took some speed, meth, coke and some bath salts… and bit of Tren. But I am pretty sure it was the pre-workout that helped though.

The WR was 251lbs, so 165lbs is a huge weight. It's relatively similar to how the WR for deadlift is 1105lbs but most normal people won't be able to deadlift 405lbs. People underestimate how heavy 165lbs in a curl is. 82.5lbs per arm, to be able to do this strict, you need to be able to curl 100lbs per hand normal.

165LB is a bit of a large jump from 115Lb. That's a 43% jump in weight. 135Lb would have been much more reasonable and still a very hard challenge. Most reasonably in shape men can do 115Lb but 165 would take very specific training for this lift. That or out weighing the weight by at least double.

I curled 55.5 kg when I tried maxing out on the strict curl maybe a year ago. 75 kg (165 lbs) is crazy weight... I think I'm good for 60 kilograms now, but 75 is still a far cry for me. I'm already well impressed with everyone who curled the 52 kg bar (115 lbs). That IS HEAVY! For reference, back when I hit my strict curl PR, my deadlift was at or around 210 kg and bench 140 kg. It took me about about 5 years of solid training to reach that point.
