    I listened to the plan details waiting for some content on recommendations for masters, but was disappointed. I use a mid volume plan to give me the right volume and intensity generally but juggle outside rides to suit my recovery and fatigue. Please support the older age group riders.

    Just listened to this for the THIRD TIME 'cause I can't get enough of Ivy's SS Topper podium, and amazing CX Nats experience after a CX season with several setbacks. Huge, huge congratulations, Ivy! You continue to be an inspiration. Cheers! 🍻

    Love the ST6 comment. I have that exact question. I've done BCBR twice (with not much plan... yeah guess how that went? :-) ). Next year Moab Rocks and ST6!!

    Limiter discussion was excellent. I really like the topics that address concepts that aren't just about fitness improvement, such as deep dive research, business discussion (Nate, I'd watch a platform discussing this further) mental health, etc. I'm interested in- -Host's struggles/advice/ideas with balance fitness, career and family -Business and leadership discussions. Employees, vision casting, productivity, profitability struggles, marketing, changing market and growth -Chad's deep dives -Mental and stress health Time and energy management are at the core of all of these issues/questions. I'm betting a lot your listeners/users are like me- professionals, business owners, leaders who really struggle balancing the disappointment of NOT being able to hit the highest capability in all the areas of our lives. Racing, Business performance, and family all compete for time.

    Re: the CX discussion - The right bike is very course specific but i agree with what Ivy said that bigger tires, flat bars and suspension are not the answer. Cross bikes are fast and optimized for a reason but wish that the UCI/USAC would ease up their rules on tires and flat bars. I don't think you'd necessarily see a big rush in participants but i think long-term could help. Yes most local races do not enforce the 35mm tires and flat-bar rules but C1/C2's and Nats sometimes do. At my own club's race (a C1) i saw a guy with a gravel bike get sent away for riding his gravel bike with his big 42's. I've been racing CX for embarrassingly 30+ years and started on MTB's with trying every combination of bikes (including a FS MTB once) and really CX bikes are a pretty good tool for most standard CX courses, despite what everyone says. Great pod and am constantly blown away that even though I've listened to EVERY episode, there's always some content that is just gold..keep up the good work TR crew!

    That KICKR Steer thing is kind of hilarious. In a world of mini devices with wifi/ble capabilities this is a go back to the 90's period. Just use 2 blipers in either hood, connected with a wire and a battery and with ble capability. That is just hilariously bad.

    Conserve energy by going to a higher cadence?? Please explain.

  • @roebbiej

    @roebbiej

    Жыл бұрын

    Higher cadence = more load on cardiovascular system, less load on skeletal muscle Lower cadence = the inverse So in situations where its possible and advantageous, i.e. when cycling at sweetspot or threshold, use a higher cadence to prevent your leg muscles from pain and fatigue. Do you understand now?

There may not be much sleep…therefore, not really a “stage race” but may take 6 days. Currently in SPB Mid-volume. I’m currently set to do XC Marathon as Specialty…. Yes? No?
