Pls if only the sponsor who is a PR is in Canada, but the spouse is outside canada with Visiting visa in process, can the PR sponsor in canada put in the Spousal PR sponsorship application as inland while the primary applicant (spouse) is yet to enter canada but visiting visa is in progress, biometrics done.?

I don’t think so, they have to be inside to do the application as inland

Thank you very much, this video is very detailed and informative. What does the background check entails? File submission- Feb 1, 2024, OAR - Feb 22, 2024, Medical Requested- March 7, 2024 (completed/passed March 21, 2024) , Biometric requested March 18, 2024, (completed /received March 26, 2024) Principal Applicant Eligibility Letter met to apply for PR March 18, 2024, Inland Sponsorship Eligibility Letter - March 25, 2024. What does review of eligibility means? ( since this is still showing that they are reviewing whether you meet requirements.)

They usually update the tracker pretty late, so its pretty confusing, usually the eligibility is the first process but most cases, it would still be in process even after the bg is done because sponsorship and pr are two different things processed by two different offices so they process it simultaneously. So the tracker is confusing most of the time.

I didn’t get what you said entirely but you cannot sponsor yourself, if you want to work during your sponsorship period, you would have to apply for inland which means you have to be in Canada during the process so you can apply for a open work permit while your pr is in process.

We got married in January in India I came back in Feb. I did not have any job when i came back. After 3 months just got a job. Please suggest if I should submit Inland or outland and when can I apply for TRV as I have still not received my fisrt pay check. Also will that affect the TRV in any way?

You can do either, its upto to you but for inland your spouse has to be living with you in canada. Again if you dont have a job, its hard to look after expenses for two people. So clearing up the job situation first is better before applying for TRV or sponsorship.

both sponsor and PA can create portal account and link the application, you will see more information on the PA side compared to sponsor side

yes you might have to wait till aor, your rep might have got an automatic email saying they received your application

Hey, if it’s your girlfriend, you can do the common law partner and sponsor her, if you’re still not planning to get married. Other than that, she can do a working holiday to Canada if she’s eligible. I don’t think there’s any other option for unmarried couples. I’ll let you know if I find something else.

The new rule only applies to masters degree, not for diplomas but if you do a two year diploma, you will get 3 year work permit. You can check it here www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/after-graduation/about.html

hi Manish My file submitted on 12 July 2023 aor received 17 September 2023 biometric completed 16 October 2023 medical completed 17 January 2024 eligibilty completed 20 March 2024 background in progress 23 may 2024 till date no updates really worried why it's taking so much time pls reply back

if youve just got your BG in process yesterday, it might take another 2 months average to get your final decision but you can always call IRCC to get some more info on the application

Sir , Spousal pr File submission 21 July I got file number on 20 September I gave my biometric on 5 December I gave my medical on 7 December that updated on 20 December ..... ??????? When i would ppr 😢

same here file submited on 12 July 2023, Aor received on 16 sep 2023 , biometrics done on 16 October 2023, medical completed in 15 January 2024, elibilty completed on 22 March 2024, background verification in progress till date 17 may 2024, do let me know about your file status

Supposal sponsorship file File submission 15th July 2023 AOR email 15 September 2023 Biometric request 19 October 2023 AOR 2 email 2nd November 2023 Medical request 11 December 2023 Medical passed 28th December 2023 And after that there is no update … can u tell me when will I get passport request … I mean maximum time after medical
