I'm service connected for Tinnitus and major depression and recently got denied for migraines/headaches secondary to my tinnitus. The examiner said the migrate subjective and that I didn't have them in service in her comments at the c&p. I don't know which direction to go now since I had a medical opinion letter and the diagnosis from the VA hospital for migraines. At this point don't know what else I should do to have the migraines service connected. Again completely discouraged.

When I got out I had a bad vertigo attack and a private doctor told me I had shattered ear drums and i she go to the VA. I went to the VA they gave me a hearing test and said yes you have hearing loss thanks for coming in. For years after my wife kept telling me to get my hearing taken care of. Finally in 2006 with me trying to go through VA they gave me 10% for tinnitus I said what about my hearing loss after 3 hearing test through the VA the automatically gave me 40% for hearing loss in 2019 it only took 48 year to get it.

I recently put in a claim for Meniere's disease because of all of these symptoms along with the spells vertigo that is documented. During an ENT appointment at the VA, the doctor stated that there is a "possibility of Meniere's disease" I was just wondering if that could be a nexus for a service related condition?

You should go and put a claim again in about 6 months. Perhaps go first to your local Veterans Services office and set up an appointment with them about your claims. I did this 4 times and finally things started to move. I knew I had issues from my Military service. I went from 0% to 80% rating just for my hearing. 10% Tinnitus. Don't give up. I now have dizziness and balancing issues, so I may look into that.

@@vaclaimsacademy can your regular primary care doctor (general medicine Dr.) write that nexus for your vertigo or migraines? Or does it have to be a specialist like a nuerologist?

I was told Mineres Disease has no Etiology. Tinnitus is not a cause of Mineres Disease it is a Symptom of Mineres. I have a non SC case of Mineres Disease ( They Lost my In service medical records). Diagnosed outside the VA.

Certain doctors will opine that the inner ear condition of tinnitus could cause the inner ear condition of vertigo, and it’s been won as secondary. As long as a nexus letter is signed by a credible doc it can be granted www.va.gov/vetapp08/files5/0843277.txt

You’re selling free and available information to veterans. Making a profit off of veterans like this is sick. You should be ashamed of yourself. Veterans, do your research. Use the VA m21 manual for all regulations and rules the VA follows. Use the 38 cfr to your advantage. And get a good VSO.
