This fight is beautiful, it always makes you feel like an awful person and brings into question how worth it what your doing is. It gets scarier when you think about the fight from her eyes too, she's the last one left and she'd know that, you keep catching up to her no matter how fast she runs, you get past every last turret on the route, each hit only slowing you down and when you reach the end she thinks she's won, surely you didn't survive that blast right? But you do and with the last energy she has she tries to hit you with her hockey stick since it's the last weapon she has, the last defence her world has... but it's for nothing and you strike her down because you have to, whether for your people or for them, whether they understand or not.

Especially since the Stranger is unusually aggressive against the Beat. She only had enough time for a single sentence before the Stranger started to go on the offensive, and after the fight started he was relentless. After the big beam he used the opportunity to attack, and he showed no hesitation before cutting her down. Compare that to how he behaves with some of the other bosses. He gives the Edge ample time to switch weapons midfight (despite being alone and unprotected as he does so), he lets the Hand monologue and activate his equipment before even touching his sword, hell he doesn't even attack the Song until she attacks first and hesitates before killing her. As far as the Beat can tell, the Stranger is exactly the heartless monster she was told he was.
