Thanks for the video. For the plate back side, I'd recommend some compact backpack that can be easily attached to the plate carrier.

Your kit is well thought out, but it has many future improvements. 1. I love your idea of vaccum sealing clothes. Not only does it free up space, but it also keeps them away from moisture. However, depending on type and materiak this may reuin the clothes insulating properties, so be wary! 2. Dont be overly redundant! Try to focus on having high quality equipment that is versatile and fulfills its designated purpose well. Having a tarp, a tent and an emergency shelter is therefore not necessary. I would get rid of one of them in favor of saved weight / space. 3. Make sure to test your equipment many times and get accustomed to it. Some things may seem durable at first but fails when faced with true stress. You also need to practice comfortable and optimal usage of your gear, this way, you can deduce whats a good piece of gear, and whats gimmicky. Experience brongs out the true value of tools.

As a backpacker turned quasi-prepper kind of, I have a different opinion on tents. If you have the money, upgrading to a GREAT, but somewhat budget friendly, tent like the REI Halfdome 2 person tent is money well spent. Much lighter, a bit more compact, and definitely more durable than the average tent labeled “backpacking.” If it’s where your being protected from weather for any decent amount of time, it’s worth the extra money imo and will last 5x longer with its durability. But I’m a moron, so don’t necessarily take my word for it. It’s just an opinion from my history of living weeks at a time in the backcountry. There’s a lot more knowledgeable people out there than myself. GREAT video though. I lot of stuff I hadn’t thought about.

Don't be afraid to research what ultra-light backpackers are carrying. They have their system down to a science when it comes to the weight of their gear. I got away from what "preppers" were preaching about carrying and focused more on what people that are actually outdoors and in the wilderness are doing. Lightened my load by 25 lbs and its much better quality gear. And remembers, skills weigh nothing.

Great video bud. I suppose the AR is your go-to as .556 is ubiquitous Stateside. I would personally go for an Ak-47 as it very easy to maintain and strip. If I were to do something to your setup, I'd add a pair of diving fins, a snorkel/mask, and a carbon fiber take-down survival bow.

Great job on the setup. I will give some advice tho. If you are gonna run a pack try and keep your carrier back slick as possible. As well yes we all want our plates to come with us on the b.o but they are heavy and thats weight that can be use to carry something else try a chest rig or something like that

@@emergencyprepper3.14 i still think you should seperate this into 2 packs, one for your wife to carry. You can carry all the heavys and she can carry light essentials. This is by far more efficient. If you are carrying everything, both of you will be slow to move. If she can take some of the weight you both will be more efficient
