Have you seen the new duffel from Bellroy?
If you've seen our previous reviews in the past month, Bellroy has taken a whole new step away from its original branding which is LEATHER! Because to be honest, Bellroy without its signature leather accent isn't Bellroy... Well, now that's the past!
They recently launched their lite range of bags that are specifically designed for adventure. Worry not, they still exude Bellroy's quirky and urban vibe, it's just that its vibe is just more adventurous. The Bellroy Lite Duffel is a lightweight pack that you can easily bring to your trip or gym. Because it's lightweight, you can easily compress it, and pack it as an extra bag. It's also super water-resistant so you won't have to worry about spilling something on it.
To learn more about our honest thoughts about the Bellroy Lite Duffel, watch our video for an in-depth review!
Let's help the community by leaving a comment down below with your thoughts about this duffel. If you're a laptop warrior, would you still get this pack despite the lack of a laptop compartment? Is it overpriced for its value? And if you already have it, how's the duffel so far? We'd love to hear from you!

I use this duffel exclusively for road trips and cross country Amtrak rides that I take several times a year and it has held up extremely well. Tons of space for snacks, water, clothing, a small travel pillow, flip flops, and my iPad.

Absolutely. 4+ days on a Train is a long journey but you get to see so much of the beautiful parts of the Country you normally wouldn't see. Stunning Mountain and Ocean views. High recommend a Roomette or a Bedroom, not only for Privacy but all of the food and beverages are included on that way so you just don't have to rely on snacks.

I wish you would show the ways this bag can pack down (e.g. will it fit in a small compressible packing cube or how one might want to fit it in a suitcase). I feel like packable items such as these would benefit from these demonstrations, which a lot of bag reviews are devoid of.

I've been looking at packable bags and have sorta zeroed in on the aer go backpack or the waterfield packable pack (its gets so small and comes out unwrinkled and looks like a normal bag), but this video piqued my interest. I probably don't need another bag, but I really like that belroy venture sling with that zipper config. decisions decisions.

I got this bag and it broke in 1 day due to a design flaw. There is no fastener stud or clip for the very large handles. They got caught on a few things, eventually a railing caught it and ripped a hole in the fabric. One little tie or fastener just to keep the handles safe could be a huge improvement.

@@Nomads.Nation I brought it back to the store I got it from and requested a refund as it was within 24 hrs. They couldn't do that but gave me a replacement bag. So I'm on my second duffel, just have to be extra careful with it nit getting caught. I have used a carabiner, and a velcro cable tie to circumvent the issue, but for the price and brand, it's a shame this issue was not considered by Bellroy.

I can't say it enough, Bellroy makes such classy stuff! Double A Ron, have you ever traveled for a few days with just a duffel? And if so, what are your thoughts? I love the look of them but I can't help but think it would be painful for my back and bad for my posture after a while. A messenger is pretty sore after a while so I'm very hesitant to buy a duffel! Cheers, Chris

I went on a two day holiday with my wife to Taipei last month. I thought to myself - “this is a PERFECT trip to finally travel with a duffel”. It’s something I never tried and was very excited. So I packed out a duffel from Bellroy, walked around with it a bit… and within 30 seconds I unpacked the whole thing and went back to a backpack lol Nothing against duffels, they are just nowhere near as comfy as a backpack. I’d rather have two perfectly secured and balanced straps over that duffel pimp-walk all day lol

@@Nomads.Nation Thanks you are a cool guy! I am just watching some more of your video about weekend bags. I realized the PD isn't for me, it's too wide for a girl to carry. Bellroy coud be good, but too far and costly to get - am picking my Christmas gift right now, so it has to arrive sooner. Living in Switzerland is a pain, so all of the American brands are almost impossible, unless you pay huge delivery and import tax. I thought of Boundary supply too.

Come on man, it only takes five minutes to understand the difference between (PET) PolyEthyleneTerephthalate (granules - $0.85 per kg) Vs Nylon 66 (Nylon 6 fibre - $2.12) (C6H11NO)n. Nylon has a much higher tensile strength. On the Bellroy's website under "our materials" you will find that this is a recycled ripstop polyester.
