Does salary vary between firms ? For examples comparing the salary of a junior consultant of a M.B.B firm and a boutique firm? I would think yes since I assume smaller firms probably bring in less revenue annually

Great question. It’s not something I touched upon in the video so thanks for asking. In short, yes compensation does vary between firms. Generally the MBB’s are known to be the most competitive in terms of compensation. Having said that, the gap is not as substantial as one might think. For example, a recent grad at an MBB would make $110K base, at Accenture that would be closer to $100K, then at Slalom it’s typically $95K. This gap does start to increase the more senior you get.
